I spend more time on gamespot than I actually game. That says something about my apitite for gaming. Here some reasons why I don't play many games of today, and which games I did play recently.
Oblivion: I just know I spend too much time playing it, it's not worth it. I'll be dead before I finish the game.
I spend some time playing Eve online. Two weeks playing the demo. Great game and endless possibilities. But again I'll be 40 when I realize I want my time back to do really important things (I'll be in a midlife crisis by then
Civilization 4: getting so many good reviews I just had to check this one out. I played the demo, and just stopped playing with the idea I'll go on some other time. I never did. Nothing wrong with the game, It just didn't met my expectation of historical realism I suppose. I'm getting too picky.
King Kong: The latest game I played from beginning to end. I liked it, I think because I wanted to find out what the King Kong story was all about, because I never saw the movie. Pretty scary scenes too. The game had some scripted gameplay scenarios, that realy made me realize what effort it must have taken to get this game precisely the way the story dictates it should be. Good work this game.
Call of Duty2: Played the first levels. Overall a good game, but too repetitive to my taste. Stopped playing. The hectic of war is emphisized in this game. That's a good thing.
GTA San Andreas: Only played a few hours. I found out how to get tons of money at the horse tracks, and buy all these houses, when i really shouldn't be doing that at that point in the game. It gave me the feeling of useless gameplay. Enjoyed a few assignments, but the fun dropped at a certain point, and i stopped playing.
FEAR: A good game I thought. But again very repetitive some times. The story line kept me going. The end scenes gave me the creeps, but it needs a good sound system to appreciate the sound effects in the game. And you should play it late in the evening, alone in the dark...
Darwinia: Hey..., some creativity there...I probably would like the game. I say would, because i couldn't get my mind into the game. I'm too numbed by hollywood-like blockbuster games to get myself into this one. But that's just a dumb excuse. The makers deserve credit for this game.
Need for Speed most wanted: Some oldtime memories relived playing this game. I spend a lot of time playing NFS in the old days. I skipped some recent ones, but decided to play this one. It's fun, just plain fun. And if I didn't removed it from my hd, I would have been playing it today I guess. Brings out the child in me, playing with dinky toys, and feeling the adrenaline of speeding...
I'm waiting for a new breakthrough in game country...My mind gets more spoiled every game I play.

yeah GTA San Andreas deserves more credit probably. Maybe i'll start paying it again some day.
I forgot Half-Life2: Obviously THE game, every fps fan waited for. And we waited too long in my opinion. It should have been released the same time Far-Cry came out. Still a very good game. But not everything I was hoping for.
Ah, too much said already about HL2. It definitely keeps being a classic of all time.

Probably King Kong, because of some twists and adrenaline rushes in it. Then again, nothing really new in this game (maybe playing a giant gorilla is new?), but it has a cinematic flavor to it.
Half-Life2 and NFS for the nostalgics of both of them.
The only one of them I would play again is Half-Life2.
