Half-life2 (and episodes) runs brilliant on my old 9800 pro; and it has the prettiest graphics I 've seen.
Still I traded in my 9800pro for a 9800gt. I hope the difference is more noticable than the name would suggest. ![]()
I'm running the same system for about 3 years now, and it's starting to get relatively old.
Does anyone has an older system like mine and wants to share their experience with newer games?
So I like to here how you think new games run on your system and maybe what you did to make them run better.
My "older system":
Asus A7N8X-deluxe (1.0)
AMD XP 2700+
2x 512MB 333MHz
2x 37GB WD raptor RAID
Ati Radeon 9800 pro 128MB
I don't do overclocking because the trouble with extra cooling is not worth the 4 frames/sec extra imo.
tnx
When you see the posibilities (like graphics NFS has), the next GTA like games will have to do far better in graphics then San Andreas. Even in GTA3 the graphics are better imo. This is not just more details its also a design issue. The ways the roads change when it rains, the way the trees looks from a distance, the way the cars break apart, birds flying, dush coming up, leaves falling from trees.
GTA san andreas doesn't give me the feeling of walking through a real city.
