I'll play a good amount of Xbox Live games. Here are just a few.
The Orange Box
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Dragonball Z: Burst Limit
Grand Theft Auto IV
Enjoy You're Stay Here. That'll Be $120 A Night....
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham Asylum is the definitive Batman experience. No Batman game has ever come close to this game. All of the gadgets are here. All of Batman's weapons are here. A good amount of his major villains are here. EVERYTHING is here. Couple these pros with great voice acting from each character, some clever twists and epic boss fights with each villain, and...well, BATMAN, then you've got one of the best games of the year.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Nintendo DS actually had a pretty good year. Games like Rhythm Heaven and Henry Hatsworth were great, but no other handheld game really lead the march like Chinatown Wars did this year. Incredible freedom for a DS game coupled with the usual antics provided by Rockstar Games fueled the clever story. The gameplay was simple, yet fun. Chinatown Wars is one of the best handheld games ever released.
Part 3 in next blog.
First off, a little news. I just gotta job...four days a week. So, yeah, that kinda sucks, but at least I'll get some money. Also, I won't be on as much. I'll try to make some time to get on and work on a review or two, but as of right now, it's gonna be tough. I'll be able to get on on Sundays though, cause the place I'm working at is closed on Sundays. Anyway, the real reason of this blog is to honor the games that have exceeded all expectations this year. These are the games that you need to have or at least play. Also, sincea few big games have yet to come out, I'll mention those later in the next few blogs (remember, this is part 1). So, in no particular order, let's get started...
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
No doubt one of the most polished game ever created, Uncharted 2 is the complete package. An excellent story is driven by an incredibly enthusiastic cast that makes every character feel real. The gameplay is tight and responsive. Jumping from thing to thing just feels natural and fluid. Online is among the best on the PS3, with multiplayer and co-op offering tons of diverse missions and maps. All in all, Uncharted 2 is one of thebest games of the year...if not THEbest game of the year.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Does anything really need to be said here? It's Call of Duty!!!! The multiplayer is reason enough to pay 60 bones, and the campaign is intense and action packed. Spec Ops features co-op play at its best, with scenarios that'll blow your head off. Basically, it's awesome.
More games in next blog.
First thing's first...I am almost done with my Uncharted 2 review now that my PS3 is working with my new HDMI cable...which is awesome. Second, I'm getting a job...which is good cause I need the cash, but bad because I have less time to game it up...Oh well, I guess.
All of the problems that occurred last week are over with...which is very nice. I won't bore you with the details...all you need to know is that life is going good right now...for me at least. I've just been balling the twigs lately...(Balling = Playing...Twigs = sticks = analog sticks =Xbox 360controllers = Xbox 360...Ta-Da: I've been "Playing Xbox 360")
The strangest news that I have today is about my brother. He only plays RPGs and First Person Shooters (Call of Duty mostly). However, I told him that Uncharted 2 is just incredible and that he needed to try it out. Of course, he was hesitant. He hates...HATES third person shooters. I insisted, and he turned on the PS3 and started playing. He turned it offafter about 40 minutes of play and we went to bed. After I got back from school the next day...Ifound him on the couch playing Uncharted 2. He'd gotten ridiculously far since yesterday. I asked him, "How do ya like it?" Hedidn't even turn to look at me when he replied, "I can't put it down..."
In other news, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming out Tuesday...I will be at school...which kinda sucks. My friends are like, "Yeah, I'm skippin' out to play some CoD."SoI decided to play a little joke on them: I've told atleast 3 of my teachers about this game and how big it is. "I can guarantee you people will skip out on that day," I said. So the teachers said..."Hmmm, I may have a quiz that day..."...
.... MissionAccomplished.
