The beast of darkness doth fade from sight,
He fears the loving bird of light,
She spreads her wings sharing her heart,
The beast doth cower,
He doth retreat,
We feel her strength in this hour,
Hear her piteous voice as she sings,
Oh great flame and feathered light,
Protect all in thy sight,
Your passion shining in the sky,
Your love and light will never die.
Darkness encroaching in this fiight,
Hammers ringing in the night,
The melding steel's light shining strong,
Hear the sound like a gong.
Bleaker now the hearts grow cold,
Striking at the one so bold,
His strength he lost,
The many hath tossed,
Alone without but not within,
See him standing with his kin.
