Going into this, not knowing what to expect after almost 20 years, I really did enjoy it. It gave me good action, good fight scenes, good riddle/mystery solving (though I did see the alien aspect coming a mile away). Ford, of course, is great at his comedic delivery because he's so dry and nonchalant about it.
I admit, the ending was a bit over the top for me, even for an Indy film. The others seemed a bit more subtle.
But all in all, this was a great summer, popcorn, type of movie.
And, if Ford makes a fifth episode, I'll be there.

Pretty damn good movie. A complete psychological thriller about a clean up crew performing maintenance on an old abandoned insane asylum. Little by little the building seems to be driving fear into the minds of these workers. One by one, they snap, turning on each other, accusing them of.... well, we're not quite sure.
The movie can be disjointed at times, but never fails at delivering a dark, creepy undertone. Is the building really haunted, possessed? Or are they just taking human suspicion to an extreme? We'll never know.
Definitely worth a watch for those who tire of 'mainstream' thrillers.

Next to One Hour Photo, this is my next favorite film where Robin Williams shows his fantastic ability to perform dark, dramatic roles.

But this show did a pretty good job at it. Mainly it was the camera work, shot entirely in the perspective of a camcorder. That added alot to the tension, making you feel like you were really seeing it that way.
My one issue is that we had alot of mythology created for this show on the web, but none of that seemed to come through in the movie. Maybe it's left for future additions to the story. Good entertaining movie all around.

However, it lacked the thick, dark feeling of the version from the late 70's. Considering in that version they didn't take over your body, they copied it, destroying the original in the process. And the ending....well, let's just say there wasn't a cure.
And the pods were definitely missed in the new one.

Despite its tone on environmentalism, it's quite entertaining throughout. Especially if you've had too much LDS. (Yes, that was intentionally misspelled. Watch the movie and find out what I mean.)

I found that so tongue-in-cheek I actually cringed during those parts. I wish they were more like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. They just did their thing without saying a word.

However, it was a very good movie.
The build ups, plus his denial of beyond life activity definately made this movie worth watching.

I do like the fact this was never a "who-done-it" show. They made it very clear at the beginning who did it. But it was about the cat and mouse game Hopkins played with Gosling. And despite every brilliant, intelligent move Hopkins made, or even designed, he lost in the end.

Good action, good actors. But this has to be one of the classic "cop buddy" movies ever made. It had its action, drama, and even violence. But the thing that stands out is the almost-comedy, lighthearted part of this show.

Al Gore continues to fly in big jets, and huge limos, trying to promote this. If he really is concerned about global warming and such.....he would use public transportation. But because he has a lot of money, he can buy "carbon credits." Which means, he can live his lavish, carbon consuming lifestyle, while telling the rest of us what we need to do. He won an award for this at the Oscars.......where umpteen celebrities raved about it, after arriving in separate limos. Why didn't they carpool like they should have.....IF they're really concerned about the environment? They need to put their money where their mouth is. Otherwise it means squat.

This show was half-way decent. A somewhat plodding storyline with an uninteresting eventual romantic interest between Ford and Heche.
But the chemistry was good, and had some very funny with the two of them.

My first impression came from our first look at the Brachiosaurus. When they showed just its legs I thought "Ha, just an elephant." But when it panned upwards and showed it in its entirety, I could only think "Holy....!" because it looked so real. Definitely my favorite dinosaur movie. While allowing "cinematic creativity", they did follow science pretty well.

Great job by Michael Douglas. The story line was great and kept me guessing the whole movie.I loved the amount of paranoia the "game" here produced in Douglas, seeming to leave him wondering if it was all real, or was he going crazy.

Maybe if I hadn't read the story first, this might have been a good movie. But, for me, it was no where near that.

A guilty pleasure. Somewhat decent plot line, coupled with half-way good effects, mainly the eyeball popping scenes....ick. This is really nothing but typical Arnold action/adventure fare. But it is a halfway decent one at that.
