hahaha, yes! I'm actually addicted to a game

I got Fallout 3 GOTY just the other day and I've already unloaded about 34 hours into it. But it is so engrossing that I can't put it down. I've been through it all before, but this time it feels different, I don't know why. But what the heck, I don't mind

I also played through one of the DLC's yesterday - Mothership Zeta. I'm surprised by peoples responses to this, as I found it highly enjoyable along with the rest of the game, and just enhances my fun of the game. Lots of new weapons to experiment on, and use to blow evil aliens brains out

Anyway, thats it really, just thought I'd share my addiction

Fallout 3 itself is a great game, i have played it over twice doing all the missions and side missions. Its a shame i couldn't get the karma trophies though :/ how much did you pay for it? sorry to ask but if it comes down in price then i might get it for christmas

Hey man trust me take it from a true Fallout 3 nut, its only just begun lol

I mean once your done with the game and every possible side mission on earth your gonna go collect every weapon, discover every location, hell you will go and collect point less things.

I had about 260+ hours into my xbox 360 fallout game, I had a main char with 98 hours but I deleted him by accident so I started over and got my last main char to about 110 hours. I had 3 other characters all with atleast 20+ hours on them and then a couple of pointless play around chars. (Yes I played every DLC also)

Now when I bought a PS3 and sold my 360 not owning Fallout 3 made me feel sad so I bought the Goty Edition just for my sassy PS3. (im a Fallout 3 nerd )

Anyway hope you have fun and please use a Dart gun on the Deathclaws, it makes them walk insanely slow. And if you have any questions at all that you might have like maybe where some rare weapons are or just some help Msg me on PSN or on gamespot, you can also use Fallout wiki for help.

trust me its only the beggininng you mgoing to do all the DLC's the new ones coming out, the hours of extra roaming not to mention. Also your going to want to be compelled to play the original for the PC i did and there soo old that it virtually takes not space on your computer. Also theres a new mmorpg coming

i know what you mean. mothership Zeta is the only add on i have tried so far. and it is by for one of the best parts so far.

Fallout is awesome... that's why

I've got three different saved files on Fallout 3 and adding all the hours up, comes up to over 130 hours playing time... now that's insane. Fallout 3 is probably the longest game I've played... I a while away. I mean I've easily put in over 200 hour on Final Fantasy VII alone (never mind the rest of the series) back in the day. But 130 hours is definitely impressive, for me anyway considering I'm at college and working lol. Borderlands is a game I'm addicted to right now. It's not as awesome as Fallout 3, but it is great. So far I've done about 30 hours and I don't think I'm even half way yet. Well I like exploring so that's probably why I've managed 30 hours so far lol.

You should get Borderlands mate. If you don't like it, I'll totally take the blame and you can call me every bad name under the sun, and even post a blog and forum telling everyone not to trust my reviews, and my judgment.

I was addicted to Fallout for a long time but I finally forced myself to play something else lol... but that's one of those games that you can just pop in again one day months later and get addicted all over again, definitely worth every penny

I've logged so much time on this game... It's truly amazing. My favorite game. And you will log even more hours on this game... Trust me. Broken Steel will give you most likely ten hours at least, and that's not counting getting to level 30 (before Broken Steel, people could only get to level 20).

Cool. I've never played it.
Posted Nov 2, 2009 9:06 am PT
At least it's better than drugs lol, I want buy all the Fallout3 DLC's too
Posted Nov 2, 2009 9:22 am PT
I've been saying that I'll buy F3 for about 2 years now(ever sine I heard about it), I keep putting it down. I was sure I'd buy F3 GOTY upon release this time but I put it down again I'm sure it's addictive, so was Oblivion... enjoy it man

Well,I' haven't played the game but glad you are addicted lol, just like I'm addicted to Ninja Gaiden Sigma right now

@ErkiB yes you have a point but fallouts a little better, but come on 6 thumbs down for that? the guy had a point
Posted Nov 2, 2009 12:37 pm PT
@Mr_Fujiv1: I payed £38 for it

@ErkiB: I highly doubt it

@Melpoe: Thanks mate for the advice and info, but I have the guide and have played through the original 4 times already I never find evgery location and item though, because that bores me too much

@thedevildweller: lol, thanks mate for your advice, I certainly will play it around christmas, but I wouldn't blame you anyway if I didn't like it, your reviews are great, and your a good friend who I trust

@Dekonizer: The longer the better in my opinion, glad it takes so long, and thanks

@Sparda_13: Thanks man Please get it too

@vj02: lol, game addiction is so good

Fallout 3 is awesome, isn't it? I love it so much. I've had it since January and put in around 40 hours, only picked up Broken Steel, Operation: Anchorage and my favourite The Pitt. I've heard about the mixed reviews for Mothership Zeta, but I can't comment as I've never played it.

I expect to be just as addicted in a few days when I start Dragon Age Origins. I can not wait........How do you find time to put 35 hrs into Fallout aren't you in college. I barely find time to hang with my friends let alone play a game for 35 hrs and I only have 11units(3 classes).
Posted Nov 2, 2009 10:50 pm PT
@Cubano7649: Yeah, but in UK we had a one week half term, which means no college. Its different system to US

Dont doubt me mate,Trust me when I say,Borderlands will get you hooked....Ive never lied to you before,Youll like it....Im sure of that...
Posted Nov 3, 2009 6:22 am PT
Yeah, Borderlands is more addictive, seriously!
Posted Nov 3, 2009 8:04 am PT
@ErkiB: Honestly I know, I won't get hooked on that game. I've seen it, and I may like it, but I won't get addicted to it.

@groundgamer: It wouldn't get me that hooked, thats a fact
Posted Nov 3, 2009 12:27 pm PT
Well if you dont like Borderlands I can understand but one game I am still hooked on is R2...Resistance 2....Love that game...Personally when I tried Fallout I did not think much about it ,thats why I dont own it...I dont see anything that good in it and I have tried it...But thats just me mate...
Posted Nov 3, 2009 12:34 pm PT
Yeah, I remember when I was hooked to Fallout 3.. Great game. But after awhile it just sorta lost it's edge. I'm glad you're having fun with it though!

Borderlands is not additive like Fallout 3. Yes it is good... but not really challenging like Fallout 3. Plus levelling up in Fallout 3 is far more awarding then in Borderlands... but you should still get it mate lol. Considering I met you online here on GameSpot LOL... Your a good guy.

@ErkiB: Ok mate, thanks for your advice, it just seems we have different game likenesses, for example I thought Resistance 2 was a big disappointment compared to the first. I didn't mean to come across as rude, and I'm sorry if I did

@thedevildweller: Thanks mate

@tennis12master: Thanks

@M0wen10: How do you know if you have not tried?
Posted Nov 4, 2009 7:53 am PT

@ErkiB: Thankyou!
