EA... You Owe 2K A Huge Thank You. That is 100% true. I just played the demo for NHL 2K9, to fill my hockey hunger with the lack of news, and the wait for the NHL 09 demo. First of all. NHL 2K9's graphics are absolutely, 100% mediocre, at best. Some of the videos and pictures I have seen for the game, make it look 10 times better than it actually does. The control scheme is also terrible. In order to take a faceoff successfully, you must lower your stick at the right time (by holding down the 'R2' button) and then flicking the right stick back. I don't need to say enough now, by making the faceoffs that hard to take, 2K has condemed their game to failure.

If 2K Sports was still selling their titles at $20, this would be an okay pickup to give you a break from NHL 09 (which will be the superior, by a large margin) but for $60, there is no way in hell I would buy it. Backing up to the topic, EA owes 2K Sports a huge thank you, for helping them win 7 sports game of the year awards last year, and surely more this year. I will likely rent 2K9 to see if the game has improved, but judging by its' demo, it surely looks like NHL 09 will reign supreme by a large margin again. - Sandro
