Well I've just finished Bioshock, which is an incredible game. I'll most probably play it again in a couple of months but I'll take a whole different approach. I think it is pretty amazing that a FPS can offer easily over 20 hours of gameplay and replayability. Irrational Games have nailed it gameplay wise. They offer a wide variety of possibilities and introduce new elements continuously to keep the game interesting. This is why this game is a serious "Game of the Year" contender.
Now on to my main subject: What games are you getting this fall? Personaly my list is all set:
Skate: Never been a huge fan of Tony Hawk, but TH's competitor seems to be different enough and since I played the demo I just can't wait to get my hands on the full game. The controls are easy to pick up, the tricks are extremely rewarding, the camera is just right. This is gonna be the game to play with your friends online, just chilling and having a good time.
Halo 3: It doesn't need any introduction, it IS Halo 3. While it may look like more of the same, it is a very good more of the same. I'm curious to see how the story plays out and I want to use those Brute Choppers.
Orange Box: This is as much value for your bucks you're gonna get. Orange box contains HL2, plus 2 episodes and the long awaited TF2 and the intriguing Portal. Seriously, TF2, I'm probably going to make this my game of choice for multiplayer (yes over Halo 3 and COD4). The different classes and the importance they gave in designing each level for a specific match type is convincing me that it will be one of the best multiplayer game out there.
COD4: After playing the multiplayer Beta,I just can't ignore how awesome this game is going to be, I'm must have it!
Mass Effect: Probably the game I'm most excited about! Bioware never disapointed me before and I'm a huge SciFi fan, so what could possibly go wrong? I read the book and it's pretty decent too. I'm gonna put so many hours in this (for the record I've put over 160 hours in Oblivion so I can play a game to the death when I really like it). The story and the usually extremely good RPG experience of Bioware's game is a garantee that the game is gonna be awesome for me.
Also, since I'm working for the company whose making them, I'll be getting Naruto, Assassin and maybe another game but I don't know which, could be Beowulf or BIA3, or even something else.
Then 2008 will come and I will have a bunch of new games to try plus some 2007 games that I won't have time to play before then.
My only concern now is where will I find the time to properly play all these games with a full time job, a wife and two kids at home? I guess sleep is overrated anyways!
Now, what games are you getting this fall?
