The other day I bought:

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (Greatest Hits) (PS2) (new, $19.99)
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (used, $10.79)

And by "the other day" I mean, like, two weeks ago. I would have like to get the original release of Disgaea, but at this point I'm more interested in playing the game than seeking out an original copy.

Of course, it would be way disappointing if that was all I bought in the million years since my last blog entry. And luckily, it's not. Here's the other stuff that I remember buying:

Alter Echo (PS2) (used)
Geist (GCN) (new)
Katamari Damacy (PS2) (used)
Max Payne (PS2) (used)
Rogue Galaxy (PS2) (new)
The Simpsons Game (PS2) (used)
SiN Episodes: Emergence (PC) (new)
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA) (new)

Oh, and a used PSOne (that's the redesigned PlayStation) with a memory card, two controllers, and three games — The Emperor's New Groove, Monsters Inc. Scream Team, and Jampack Fall 2001. Yeah, a demo disc. I didn't realize it was even in there until I first turned on the system. It's actually notable in that it's the last Jampack disc for the PS1. If that counts as being notable.

Games I beat:

Psychonauts
Katamari Damacy
The Simpsons Game

And, uh, I guess that's it. They're all good and they're all funny in their own special way. But some are better than others. By which I mean Katamari Damacy is awesome.

Okay, that's all for now. If you're looking for me on Giant Bomb, just pop by my profile at http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/LordAndrew/ and leave me a message or what have you.

Level 38
Current Rank: DJ Boy

Austin: What is your bag of **** game then, Tony?
Tony: I think I've got a good one. For the Genesis... DJ Boy.
Austin: Uh?
Special guest Alex Navarro: You know, DJ Boy I think is one of our forum ranks. I don't know. I don't know anything about the game.
Tony: What it is is um, a really, really ****ty sidescrolling beat-em-up where you're on inline skates and you've gotta fight other inline skaters who stole something.
Alex: What does that have to do with DJs?
Tony: Well, um, nothing.
Alex: Do you scratch at any point?
Tony: I think I was scratching my nuts most of the time. That was about the most fun I had with the game. That game sucked ass.

From Trigames.NET Podcast Episode 47, featuring GameSpot's own Alex Navarro. I don't know anything else about the game, but after that description I feel like I already know everything.

Didn't play much except for Half-Life today. I'm currently at the On a Rail chapter. I'll try to play some Ocarina of Time tonight.

Wait. Is Retro Revival Week really over? Damn! I didn't get to play all the games I intended to, but at least I had fun and made some cool videos.

Stay tuned. Tomorrow I'll try to finish everything up proper, and give my opinions on the games I played and whatnot. You won't want to miss it. Until you see it. Then you'll wish you did miss it. Oh well. See you next time!
