I think the title pretty much speaks for itself. I do not know why, nor do I feel like finding out, but the inescapable truth is that the world just bores me. Nothing I do is particularly fun anymore. Be it watching a new anime, going to school, playing or listening to music, surfing on the internet, heck, even being with friends is boring. *sigh* why did I have to be cursed with boredom?'

Anyway, I raced through Code Geass during the weekend, and, well, it was a small flicker of light in these horrid times. It was okay, but in the end, I'm still indifferent. I don't recollect being particularly entertained, and its soundtrack just makes me even more depressed. But if you are looking for a great anime, check it out.

Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor's to see if some light can be shed on the sickness I've been struggling with the last two months. It's completely ruining me - and may even be the cause of the aforementioned problem -, and right now there's nothing more I want to do than to get healthy again.

*sigh* forget my emo rant and go on with your lives, okay?

cursed with boredom u say? find something to unborify yourself. you're not the only who feels inescapably bored, everyone does, it passes, not a disease. you'll find something to do.

Yeah, everything on TV seems to be the same thing. I've been on the computer more than watch TV. I know how you feel.

These days everyones suffering from boredom sickness.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 3:04 pm PT
I get boredom sometimes, but it eventually passes. I really dislike the feeling though. It feels awful.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 3:20 pm PT
Congratulations! You suffer from Light Yagami Syndrome! Symptoms include boredom, random shinigami, memory loss, insanity and bipoler disorder! Yay you ^-^!

Now that you've mentioned it, I reallly do agree with you. The world is boring. And it's a horrible thing to think of, I know. =( Being a total optimist, this really is troublesome. I try to find simple pleasures in life and look on the brightside. No matter what, I avoid conflicts and other matters that would cause more stress and depression. This might not help, but try making a list of things that you know will make you feel better. I've done it before and it tends to work sometimes. Like... if I'm really sad, I'll look up one of my favorite videos and watch it or I'll listen to a whole bunch of music; whatever you think might cheer you up. That's what I do at least.

I trully hope that you'll get better, Espen. Two months of being irritably sick is too much. And hey, you've read tons of my emo blogs, so I guess the role is switched for once. Don't worry, you have your friends to support you. Just letting you know, I'm always here for you. Good luck.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 3:30 pm PT
I'm sorry. Get feeling better when you can.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 3:46 pm PT
You just need to know where to look. I'm actually starting to enjoy life over the past few months.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 5:10 pm PT
Hope that you feel better. Let us know how the doctor goes!
Posted Nov 19, 2008 5:34 pm PT
P.S. Hope you get to feeling better soon. You've had this for quite a while and I'm sure you're very tired of feeling this way.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 5:53 pm PT
Shame, being bored at such a young age. We'll I'm bored too haha. I already finshed Code Geass and I really enjoyed it. I thought the ending is what made it for me. You might have Mono...just saying lol. I know its the kissing disease and all but you can get it other ways. That or a sinus infection. Hope you get better.

I feel more tired from being extremely busy than bored, but I do agree with you that most anime shows out there that I'm watching tend to be quite average and not that entertaining. Maybe it's time for another field trip?
Posted Nov 19, 2008 6:42 pm PT
It almost sounds more like depression to me then it does boredom... guess it's a good thing your going to the doctor. Feel better soon ^_^
Posted Nov 19, 2008 7:01 pm PT
I feel the same way, I'm being coached be someone to get a less borring life.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 7:28 pm PT
Awesome rant, now why don't you take your spaceship and fly off to another planet that's not as boring as this one?
Posted Nov 19, 2008 8:17 pm PT
Bored with reality, I see. Welcome to my world. Personally, I find it a lot more fun to indulge in my own fantasy world.
Posted Nov 19, 2008 8:19 pm PT
To quote a song by Tool called Stinkfist, "Boredom is not a burden anyone should bare". I, of course, don't believe that. If boredom is the least (edit: that should say "most" not least) of your worries, then you'll be fine. I will say this, however, that boredom is a powder-keg for a troubled mind or a troubled soul. So if, and this is only "if", boredom points you in an antisocial and/or distructive direction, I recomend checking yourself before you slip too far. Everyone is entitled to an emo rant; just don't stay there - find a way to move beyond it.

you lost taste in life. we all come to that conclusion at some time or the other. maybe you need to find that speciel something that will keep you going. seek for it and many answers will come

Go kill someone ,you won't be okay afterwards but at least it "kills" the boredom ,don't get addicted though .
World isn't boring ,It's not all gray ,it's just our point of view of it changes over time .in small parts of our life we do see it gray .but it fades soon .Boredom is like happiness ,it comes and goes ,it fades slowly cuz we don't like it though .but eventually it does .Personally i've been in such state many times .i found even sleeping is boring -mind you ,there is nothing i love more than sleeping - .Good luck with your doc ,I hope you get well in no time ,And trust me ,If seeing life Boring for a while makes one an emo ,then 99% of humans are Emos :S.

Code Geass is AWESOME ,i agree ,R2 is even more

Ash- But therein lies my problem; I can't find anything to unborify myself.

StewieZim- lol... well, I have always identified with the guy, so... =P

lstinwonderland- So you do call it the kissing disease in English too? I'll just start calling it that, then =P And yeah, I do know that

Cathy- Maybe it will help. I just need to find some happy songs for once. On the bus home today I did have some fun writing a story, maybe it's just a good way of expressing my feelings.

Heh... yeah, it's funny that, our roles being changed and all =P

And lastly, thank you Cathy. I really appreciate your words =)

DemonSlayerZea- That's what I'd like to do too; but I don't really think I'll be truly happy unless I'm satisfied with reality.

ST'Q- I'm working on staying away from that path. If not for my natural optimism, I might've been too far down already...

jinta44- That's what I'm kinda trying to; but that special something just never appears.

Everyone, thank you very much =)

i hope that the doctor will finally find out what the sickness is
Posted Nov 20, 2008 8:59 am PT
But I understand your pain Espen. This world no longer has anything to interest me anymore. I've watched all I wanted to watch, read what I wanted read, and done all I've wanted to do. I wish something would end this feeling that is a mixof sadness and fear. When I'm really bored, I make AMVs or draw or any other form of creation.
Posted Nov 20, 2008 12:06 pm PT
I agree. Nothing has an effect on me anymore. Day in, day out. The same thing over and over again. It sucks so much.
Posted Nov 20, 2008 1:01 pm PT
Sorry you're still not feeling good, hopefully the doctor can help you feel better. And I agree Code Geass is a great anime. And I do feel bored a lot myself.
Posted Nov 20, 2008 2:02 pm PT
Try video games or writing. Also stay away from the sucide option.
Posted Nov 20, 2008 2:44 pm PT
Eh, a stage of boredom always strikes us teens at times. Relax, it comes and goes. Eventually something will come and bring color to your bland days. Damn, you have a sickness? I'm sorry man, hopefully the doctor will make a positive difference. Don't worry, blogs are meant to publicly express yourself, or rant. Take care.

Hahaha. Everyone needs their emo rants every once and a while. At least you have the time to be bored. @_@ Work takes too much time. Combine hours of homework and then having to stay after school every day until like five when a play is going on, and you find yourself with hardly enough time to take a regular shower and do your hair. Much less be bored. *sigh* forget my work rant and go on with your life, okay? Lol. BTW, Sorry if I post this like fifty times. I don't understand the new layout. And SERIOUSLY. I leave you alone for a few months and you STILL haven't changed your icon? Tut tut.
Posted Nov 20, 2008 3:19 pm PT
Christa-chan- Hmm... well, I'm home at five every day, so I don't really have much time at home especially not since I haveto get up six in the morning -_-
Posted Nov 21, 2008 6:04 am PT
How did you get sick? Kinda feeling that way myself. Not bored with my life more like I want to do more with myself. I hope that you feel better soon, and stop feeling bored and down.
Posted Nov 21, 2008 4:52 pm PT
Ha. Pwned you. I get up at 5:30.
Posted Nov 22, 2008 9:35 pm PT
Oh. And BTW, you never answered my icon question. And you have 9,999 forum posts. First, you're crazy. O_o Second, that's awesome. ;D
Posted Nov 22, 2008 9:36 pm PT
wow, I currently feel the same feeling you are having now.
Posted Nov 23, 2008 5:27 am PT
Christa-chan- Okay, I'll answer your question then. No.

And 5.30 is way to early. How far do you have to school anyway (or do you just use a lot of time in the morning?)

Haha. ;P Well it takes me like an hour to get ready. I don't know if you consider that a long time or not. My bus comes at like 6:45
Posted Nov 23, 2008 2:33 pm PT
That's pretty long. My bus comes at 7.05, and by then I've usually had time to watch an episode of [random anime]. So technically, I don't need to get up before 6.30 =P I just need my share of anime before I start my day xD (hey, I am an otaku)
Posted Nov 24, 2008 7:53 am PT
hahaha. Lol. Oh goshes. I haven't seen an episode of anime for like a week. Oh the horror! And yes... well I am a girl in an image concerned society.
Posted Nov 24, 2008 8:47 pm PT
I see. But what about being different then? xD
Posted Nov 25, 2008 1:12 pm PT
Haha. Surrre. ;P
