The amount of days I worked this week?!?

Hm... One!! hahaha

Monday? There was something wrong with the water pump or whatever at the university so the hospital shut down...

Tuesday? Still no water...

Wednesday? Well, yesterday, unfortunately for those dreaming of having an entire week off, the water came back. We had "shot animal" and "dead dog fetuses" day, which made for a crazy day, but most of the animals turned out okay in the end....

There was a weird incident with a dog that was left unattended. The owners have to go about the hospital with their pets except in surgery mainly bc we don't have the staff or the students to take care of the animals for them... Some lady left her dog on the table while he was getting IV fluids and simply went off somewhere... After almost 20 minutes, the dog decided it didn't wanna stay there, all alone on some table anymore, and got up, jumped off, ripping the catheter of course, and ran out... I saw the entire jumping and running scene, and ran after the dog, shouting at people to close doors... Unfortunately, the time it took them to comprehend that I wanted them to close the door bc there was a dog running, the dog had already gone past them... I caught up with the dog when he got outside and grabbed him by the back of the neck so he wouldn't bite me. Not the smartest of moves, but it's not like I could think of an immediate option, he was already outside at this point. He didn't seem to mind my holding him that way, but when one of the students came near to pull him back by the thorax, he tried to bite him... Finally someone got a leash, and they took the animal back inside... I saw the owner some time later...

Anyways... my patient wasone of the dogs with dead fetuses, and the surgery went well, hehe, despite the changing of anesthetics halfway through surgery bc another animal needed the inhalant anesthetics and there weren't enough machines...

Our vet hospital is a mad house. I just hope I don't wind up even crazier than I am.

Oh, and my lunatic supervisor was acting up yesterday... I got in on time, said hello. His answer?

"They'll all have to wait! All of them! I don't have time for anything! I've been here since 7am, and still nothing done. Today I don't want you going anywhere. You stay right here, no talking, no going anywhere." bla bla bla...

And I just nodded, and kept my mouth shut. I found it's easier to do that. He has some "non sequitur"s sometimes, hehe. Like when I asked him if any surgeries from that morning had been moved to the afternoon. His answer: "I'm here until 4."

If I survive him, I can survive anyone, hehe.

So, today... Thursday, it's not easter yet, but we're not working... Don't really know why, don't really care... We're not working!! hahaha I can relax, and watch tv, and pack bc tomorrow I'm going home! Just for the weekend, but still. I'll get my computer and the rest of my books.

I really wanted to go today, but I'm going with my friend's parents, and they leave tomorrow bc her father works today until noon.

***

TV!!

Only one episode of Heroes to go for the end of the 2nd season... Still feels like they hurried through the story, but I guess that's a reflection of the writer's strike.Thankfully that's over...

And since I'm going home to my compy, I can catch up on Torchwood, and watch Voyage of the Damned, which I only saw the first minutes of.

Saw Supernatural yesterday, something about dreams. I liked it, but I always feel so sorry for Dean. Everytime they wanna bring him down they use his loyalty and obedience to his father.

Hm, since today there's nothing to do, hehe, I think I'll see what's on tv. I think there's women's murder club. I saw the first episode and liked it. I think yesterday they showed the second ep, but it was on the same time as Supernatural, haha.

I'm also watching NCIS and Criminal minds (can't name the seasons though).

They're saying that Pushing Daisies is gonna start here in april, but I've already seen it on my computer, hehe. I am waiting for the new eps of House though. Last one I saw he'd chosen his team finally.

Other than that, I haven't managed to watch the second season of Dexter... And there's a few episodes of My Boys I missed. I really like My Boys. If you're not a girlie girl, you should check it out, hehe.

Okay, I guess that's it. Can't think of anything else I've been watching, except saturday morning reruns of Whose Line is it anyway. I always laugh so hard watching that my parents sed to know when it was on just by how much I was laughing...

Have a nice weekend if I don't talk to anyone sooner. Have a happy easter (do you wish that in most countries? here we do). Again, I'm not religious, but I'll take any holidays they wanna give me.

Hugs and more hugs!!

Hi mom,

Water... After two years, we got pressure back in the cold water tap at work , sorry, that's what water makes me think of; I'm very happy about it (oh, my life is so exciting) since I don't have to go to the other side to make the coffee anymore (... I don't drink coffee, it's the coffee for the others, I make).

Chasing after a dog? Isn't it suppose to be them running after us? You really do get these things mixed up .

Your supervisor is sounding a little insane and like someone who doesn't want to be there... the good thing is when the internship is over, he'll still be there and be miserable and you wont be either .

Have a great Easter... I'm going to my parents too though for me it means no computer .

Be good,

Phin xx

Lin - You're so right, Lin... Though it could've been worse... I could've been chasing after a cat, hahaha.
Hm, chocolate, hehe

Jim - Hm, yes... That serves for a very interesting perspective. hehe. For about as it would take for the fish to die... Why am I aving a flashback of a whale plummeting down towards the ground?!? Oh, right, Hitchiker's guide was on last week.

France - Hello daughter of mine!

Our main worry about no water is hand washing and stuff, hehe. I don't drink coffee either, and I drink very little water. But the lack of water at the drinking fountain did manage to annoy even me.

Oh, so the dog is supposed to chase after us? Oh, now I get it... I don't think the dog quite understood the dynamics of it, though... I'll have to explain it to him later on

My supervisor is insane... He keeps talking about the human hospital he worked in at São Paulo (one of our largest cities way down in the southeast region). I liked your view of things. I'm going back to Recife today... I'm taking my compy but I won't be installing it until I move out of my friend's house, and then I'll have no internet... eek, no net, how am I going to survive?

No internet? ... I think there should be a survival book on that .
