It's been a week since my lasty blog post, and oh my God, so much has been happening. Yep I've been pretty busy lately, buying more and more stuff for college. My Scholarships and Financial Aid is basically covering all my expenses except my food (which I didn'y really expect it to) so I've been using my money to get new clothes and items for my dorm room. Okay, well before I get ahead of myself, I basically have three major things to say.

R.I.P Avatar: The Last Airbender [2005-2008]
Yep it eventually had to end but I am sad to see it go. For those who don't know, Avatar: The Last Airbender is the single greatest cartoon to grace Nickelodeon since Rocko's Modern Life. Hell, it was the only thing that I watched on Nick (that is until Nick At Nite when George Lopez is on. ) The series was amazing, and it had one of the greatest and complete finales I've ever seen in a televsion show. So Avatar, you will be missed.

Finished My College Orientation
The past two days I was not on this site because I was at my college orientation. It's a rule (in the United States anyway) that you cannot attend college unless you go to that College's Orientation. In the case of the University of South Florida (GO BULLS!!! ) it was a over-night orientation. Overall, I did enjoy myself. I made a couple of fans, and got to see their School of Engineering (my intended major is Computer Engineering). I'm tired as hell though. Way to much walking, I lost two pounds because of all the walking I did (no joke). Campus is the third biggest in the state of Florida and the Ninth biggest in the nation so it's no joke. Oh well, at least I'll end up skinny by next summer.

Got some more games
Wouldn't really be much of a blog if I didn't have any game updates. I decided to follow in the steps of my bud HyruleanLink by going to Block Busters to see what games they had for sell. They had the buy one get one free deal going so I decided to pick up two games. The first was Valkyrie Profile 2. I haven't got a chance to play the first one (I'm going to get the remake for the PSP in the future) but I heard it had a completely different story so I went with it. I also made an incredible find in Metroid Prime. It's been forever since I last bought a game for my Cube (I even sometimes forget I own one ) so this game should give the Cube some much needed playtime.

Got a New Job
Just quick update. Yesterday while I was at USF, I decided to apply for a job at the Barns and Noble Bookstore. Found out today through email I got the position. I'm seriously on a roll.

Call me overdramatic if you want, but I really won't ne supporting Sony this gen. For a while now I've been holding out on buying a a console this gen, to see what they all had to offer. Both the Wii and the 360 delievered fairly early on, but the PS3 is still having trouble staying above water IMO. I mean, Sony doesn't even seem to have a game plan anymore. Microsoft is attempting to win over the PS2 market place by getting Sony franchises on their console, Wii is appealing to both the casual and hardcore market, but what is the PS3 doing? I still have no idea.

With the Big Three's Conferences over I decided to reflect upon what I've seen. Really, my opinon is like many others, quite frankly the conferences were pretty meh. Without a doubt the biggest announcement made was FFXIII being a PS3/360 multiplat. Outside of that, I really was not impressed with what the Big Three had to offer.

Microsoft: For the most part, Microsoft's Conference was okay. Up until the FFXIII announcement it was nothing spectacular. What I did like was the previous mentioned FFXIII announcement (which gives me more initiative to get a 360), the videos for Fable 2 and GeoW2 were fairly good, and Netfilx options is a nice draw. My major complaint with the conference was the lack of new games announced for the 360 and XBLA's only real notable addition was Banjo Kazooie (which is pretty sweet). And, I'm not quite that excited for Avatars.

Nintendo: ...What can I say, Nintendo was really sub-par this year. No Pikmin, No new Zelda, no new Mario. No instead, when it came to the Wii, everything was casual. While I did find the Wii Music Performance pretty amusing I was really expecting more. Other than Star Wars Clone Wars, there weren't many interesting Wii titles announced. On the DS side, not much to be said either. I was hoping for some Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest Vids, but no luck. Instead we get GTA (which I'm not too excited about) and another Guitar Hero. So overall, I wasn't too big on Nintendo this year.

Sony: Microsoft may have had quality in Final Fantasy XIII, but Sony certainly did have the quantity. The LBP vids were amazing, and new games were announced for the PS2, and even better for me, the PSP!! New PSP bundle and a PS3 price drop was also establish. Sadly not much was new on the PS3 side. There was the new R&C (downloadable game) and what most will be talking about; the GoW3 teaser. Ultimately, Sony had a lot of variety but lacked the impact that Microsoft had.

Overall, there was much left to be desired. Maybe I'm just dissapointed that I didn't see any KOTOR3 (360), Jak (PS3), or Zelda (Wii). But it did please me to see FFXIII go on the 360 and some killer PSP titles announced.

I could go on in my review and mourn his lost. Yes, it wasn't his time, but I'm writing this to say thank you. Eddie Gurrero was a fantastic wrestler, a great husband and father, and an outstanding role model. He had inner demons, but he conquered...

I'm a new fan on Ron Perlman. I don't follow his wrok as closely as I do my other favorites, but I consider him very talented.

Patrick Warburton is one of those talented voice actors who only acts for one type of characters. Those type of characters are Muscle-heads. Though he is very talented at potraying that type of role, it would be nice if he branch out a little. [+] Read Full Review

Justin Cook is one of the most underrated voice actors today. I've seen him on very few animes, and I feel he should be use more often. He's not the best out there, but he's extremely talented.

Though I'm not a follower John Burgmeier's work, he provides the voices of two anime characters I know well, Tien (DBZ) and Kurama (YYH).

Tien and Kurama are two extremely different characters. Tien is more of the brawler, while...
