S01E08.Storm Warning

Night in Buenos Aires

In the middle of the night a woman is screaming at her husband like arguing about something and, crying, the woman leave her home because she says she needs to think things ignoring her husband's request to came back inside

Day in the city and Detective Bruce Chase arrives at a crime scene before Bruce can explain Det. Javier Morgan why he arrived late Javier says he dont need to explain nothing that, because of the storm last night, some parts of the city are still flooded and traffic is really annoying

Bruce aproches to a body that the workers found, while cleaning the sewers to make the water descent and control the flooded areas, a body... the woman from earlier that leave her home crying!!

Javier says that last night the storm was to powerfull so the incident could be an accident but Bruce look at him saying that the storm its just another excuse for someone to commite a murder whituout witnesses and, until the forensic say "accident" from their own mouth, this "incident" could be murder and the killer could trow the body to the streets knowing the storm will take the evidence with it...

(Opening Credits)

Brice is in the morgue and, when Dr. Ignacio Parkman ask him if its a good day, Bruce ask him if he ever leave the lab but Dr. Parkman says he likes the silence so he can read and Bruce smiles saying "then the answer is NO" and det. King arrives saying shes sorry but the traffic was really anoying

Just when Dr. Parkman is about to make his analysis from the body Dra. Violet Danko enters saying shes sorry for being late and that shes going to change clothes and Bruce ask Dr. Parkman to focuss and the analysis from the body goes like this:

NAME: Juliet Burke (LOST!!)

AGE: 37 years old

CAUSE OF DEATH: Stab to the abdomen

The dets. ask for the rain but Dr. Parkman says that the stab in the abdomen was not fatal and the lungs of the women has H2O inside but, for his point of view, someone killed her and trow her to the water while the storm was happening to ERASE EVIDENCE

Bruce ask for the murder weapon and when Dr. parkman describes the weapon as something sharp no longer than 25 cm bruce instantly said "kitchen knife" and Dr. Parkman agrees with his analysis

Dr. Parkman ask a remark about why the lastname "Burke" does not sound any bells on the Dets. and Det. King says that she remembers that name from somewhere... Juliet Burke was one of the worker of the Belle Arts National Museum

Dra. Violet Danko says shes trying to get inside the cellphone of Juliet Burke but as it was under-water for so long it makes more difficult to try to get something from it but Bruce says that if shes so good at electronics like she says its time to demostrate it and Dra. Danko smiles saying "give me a couple of hours boss"

Dets. Lopez & Javier Morgan arrive at the house of Juliet Burke (The same house she left last night crying) and Javier is laughing because Lopez told him that, because of the storm last night, he lost his date

A man opens the door, Patrick Burke the husband, asking the Dets. about Juliet because SHE LEFT HOME LAST NIGHT TO TAKE AIR AND NEVER CAME BACK AND HE COULDN'T GO OUT TO LOOK FOR HER BECAUSE OF THE STORM

The Dets. gave him the bad news and Patrick makes himself guilty for what happend (thinking the storm killed her) saying that he warned her not to go out because he heard on the news about the storm and he says everything is his fault for not taking care of her

Mainwhile Bruce & Det. King arrive at the Belle Arts National Museum and talk about that Det. Danko recovered part of the list of the last phonecalls Juliet Burke made from her cellphone and there a lot of dials to a number belonging to a man named James Sawyer (LOST again!!!)

A man appears after talking to a girl that works in the Museum revealing to be Jenna, his sister, the man is James Sawyer and, when the Dets. ask him why Juliet Burke called him so many times, Sawyer says because hes an artist and today its the last day he has to finish his new "line of paintings" and, as Mrs. Burke was the woman in charge of that exposition, she was worried that he couldn't finish the paintings in time

Bruce says that Mrs. Burke, before she died, she received one last call and Sawyer's cellphone is the number of the last call so Det. King arrest him when he refuses to keep answering the questions

Bruce observs Jenna watching and, when he ask her if she wants to tell him something, Jenna says that SHE KNEW THAT, SOON OR LATER, ALL THIS WILL BRING TROUBLES and bruce keeps questioning Jenna only says that "Mrs. Burke was a married woman" and bruce figures out that Mrs. Burke and Sawyer were lovers

In the central Javier interrogates Sawyer but Sawyer says he was on the Museum last night finishing his painting that he was trapped there because the storm flooded the street that he needs to go back home so he prefers to stay inside the Museum and finished his line of paitings and, when javier ask for the call, Sawyer says he lleft it in his home because, when he paints, he does not like that anything distract him but Javier does not believe him

In the apartmanet Jenna opens the door to Det. Lopez and Dra. Danko to analyse the scene looking for any evidence and jenna ask them not to mess up the place before leaving them alone to do the job

Dra. Danko, looking that Det. Lopez is looking Jenna, says to him "stop... she could be your little sister" and Det. Lopez answers "Yeah!!!" but Dra. Danko call him pervert and they start analysing the apartment looking for evidences

Knowing about that a kitchen knife was the homicide weapon they start in the kitchen but, making the complete count of the knifes and tools of the apartment, they notice that one knife its missing and, spreading "LUMINOL", Dra. Danko finds traces of blood in the floor but... Where's the murder weapon?

Bruce and Det. King are on the steerts right in the intersection between Sawyer's apartment and the Belle Arts Museum and, when Det. King ask what they are doing, Bruce responds saying that, probably, when Mrs. Burke's body was floating the murder weapong could separate from the body and fall in a sewer and, watching a sewer half-flooded, he hands inside and finds something stuck in the tube... the murder weapon!!

In the interrogation room javier uses his instincts to interrogate Sawyer saying that, acording to Sawyers file, he is an excelent artist but, acording to the Museum owners, the last SIX MONTHS Swayer become distracted and he start to forget about his paint delivering and Sawyer admits Mrs. Burke was that "distraction" they love each other so much he was forgeting to do his job with the paintings that was the reason of why he was so late with his "line of paintings" for the exposition

Javier still does not believe him but Det. Lopez says to him that he checks Sawyer's exucse and the cameras of the Museum does not lie: Sawyer was in the Museum all the time but then... Who murdered Juliet Burke?

Suddenly Mr. Burke (Patrick) arrives completly in rage wanting to kill Saywer for having an affair with his wife and, realising, the Dets. cuffed him and Mr. Burke confess that the real reason of why his wife, Juliet, left home last night crying before the storm wasn't because she had work to do in the Museum but because she received a call in her cellphone and, when he ask who was it, she confess that she was having an affair but she left the house crying before they can talk about the subject

Dra. Danko finds a two different DNA's in the murder weapon and, when she deliver to Bruce tje results, he smiles saying "This world its too small..."

Suddenly Jenna is the suspect and bruce congrats her for being smart because she knew his brother, to avoid distraction, left his cellphone in the apartment so she called Mrs. Burke asking her to "talk" and she went to the apartment and she killed her with the kitchen knife but, there was a stuggle and she cut herself with the knife leaving her DNA on the knife before stabbing Juliet

Bruce also says that she killed Juliet because she was a distraction for his brother that with the paintings of his brother they have money to pay the rent and, without the delivering, the Museum was going to get both fired so, to cover herself and avoid being on the streets without a cent, she killed Juliet and believe that the storm will erase the evidences

Jenna cries saying she realise of her mistake in the moment she stabbed Juliet but Juliet run away oustide in the storm and, when she tries to reach her to take her to the Hospital, the storm was to strong and Juliet was gone...

Bruce says that the "accident" was the result of a murder and he has to arrest her so Javier enters the room the cuff her

Jenna leaves the room cuffed and, crossing the hallway, Sawyer sees her while talking to Det. King and Sawyer looks like dessapointed because he was "The big brother" and he was supposed to take her of his little sister but Det. King says its not his fault and Sawyer conffeses to her that Juliet was like an inspiration to him like "she make him realise that life its more than just being 24/7 painting" and Det. King that a way to remember Juliet is finishing the "line of paintings" she ask him to do to make the exposition and Sawyer smiles saying that he will finished them and leaves

Mainwhile Det. Lopez explains Mr. Burke what happend that night with his wife and the man cries so Det. Lopez offer him a hugh and the man hughs him

Later Sawyer is in his depto finishing the paintings and bruce arrives so Sawyer ask him if he likes the paitings and Bruce says they are nice and Sawyer revelas that this ones were the last paitings that hes going to travel back to Paris and he will stop being an artist

Bruce wishes him good luck and leaves the depto and, when hes on the streets, bruce looks the sun high shinning in the sky and says "just another day in town..." and leaves walking with the crowd...
