Hey Everyone

Away from TV.com)

Well, I reckon some of you might guess what my big news for this month is ...

I became a full time student again . I am officially coming to you from University . A whole 3 years of it to go . I'll try and survive .

But i still reckon a youtube video is needed to celebrate the occasion :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpwP4wD2EJQ&feature=PlayList&p=BFBB7D945676CF33&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=15

So anyway, back to Uni life . Well after some initial homesickness, I'm slowly starting to settle into Uni life , although all the reading and coursework I have to do is a bit off putting . It's a big change for me compared to the first 29 years of my life, and a bit scary because of it , but I'm sure I'll get into the swing of it all eventually .

Other things that happened this month :

- My Mum had a birthday . I got her a book about bird watching

- My nephew had a birhday . I got him a racing car card game (gotta watch the pennies now that I'm a student )

- I had 4 leaving parties! . I went out for drinks with my now ex-work colleagues . I went out drinking with my friends . I had a meal with my parents and my brother and sister and their families . And I went Go-karting with my Karate group, and it was soo much fun , I've never been go-karting before .

- I joined a new salsa club up at Uni

- I went and saw this illusionist guy who swallowed loads of random things. It was pretty gross

- I got something I wrote published in a film magazine again .

Albums I bought) La Roux by La Roux, It's Not Me, It's You by Lily Allen, The Boy Who Knew Too Much by Mika

Films I Bought) House Party 2, House Party 3, Labyrinth, Fast And Furious

TV Shows I bought) CSI: NY - Season 5, Part 1, The Simspons: Season 12

Hey Everyone

Away from TV.com)

Hmm, now what could have possibly happened, hmm . Oh, now I remember............... Anna came over and stayed with me for 9 days .

Yep . A whole 9 days . Apart from all that lovey dovey stuff , things we did included : Going to the seaside, going to see a musical in the West End , having a picnic in a local park , and going to the cinema twice . Oh and she also got to meet my brother and his family, and my work colleagues, and one of my friends .

I'm currently hoping to go over to Switzerland in December .

Other things that happened in August :

- It was my brother's birthday .

- I got a new display rack for my TV DVDs (You may have noticed that I tend to buy the occasional TV Boxset ). I'm hoping, that with me having to drastically reduce my DVD buying when I'm at Uni , it might last me till the end of my Uni course . It probably wont though , LOL .

- I bought a new ipod . It's a black ipod classic , and it has a storage capacity of 120GB .

- I got a new hi-fi for Uni . It's just a basic thing , but it does come with a CD player, digital radio, and ipod playing area .

- I got a new DVD player . a multi-region one .

- And I got a new TV aswell . A 20 inch HD readly plasma screen, with built in freeview (a cheap, lot less impressive version of Cable, but Hey, It still means I get about 20 extra channels to watch ).

- Oh and there's also the fun of arranging my September farewell parties . Of which there are 4 of them! . More about them in the future though .

On TV.com)

- I did a joint blog with banannie . It was a lot of fun

- But also sadness . Banannie left . I know she had her reasons for leaving, but it was still sad to see her go .

The Lost Boys
A wonderfully entertaining horror/black comedy. The cast is perfect, the soundtrack is a cult classic, and the film mixes laughs and shocks seamlessley. The film's closing scene is one of my favourite movie moments of all time

Frontier(s)
A cross between 'TCM' and 'Hostel', with a large dollop of Neo-Nazi Nutcase crazyness added for good measure. Definately not as good as other modern french horror's like 'Switchblade Romance', but still an entertaining hour and a half with a...

After thoroughly enjoying `Road Trip` (although it's starting to show it's age now), and finding the highly underrated `Euro Trip`, pretty damn hilarious, I expected good things from `Sex Drive`. .......boy was I disappointed. This film was almost...

JJ Abrams once again strikes gold with a thoroughly entertaining movie. The action is well paced, the humour is good without being overpowering, there are several emotional moments, and the new cast do an excellent job of settling in to their...

Zodiac
Interesting characters, interesting story, good cast, and good performances, but it would've been better if it had been 30 minutes shorter
