Lately I have been hearing a lot of talk about HPs new PC the Blackbird, and until very recently all I was hearing were things like "its awesome" or "OMG my PC sux compared to this". Personally that didn't really win me over, I figured that it was pretty much just another gaming rig that would be outdated in a month. I currently have a pretty good mid range PC that can run all the games I play on it smoothly so I wasn't really convinced that I should go out and buy an new PC.

I decided to see what HPs new PC was all about so I looked further into the HP Blackbird and checked out some screens and what some of the designers had to say. When I first saw the Blackbird I said to myslef "WOW, Thats a sexy PC".

My current PC has some problems with overheating becuse of dust, so I have to clean it out every few weeks. The inside of my PC is pretty crowded, the wires block the PCI slots, so upgrading RAM is harder than it should be (it took me 2 people to install a stick of ram). Then I watched a video on youtube on how easy it is to clean and upgrade the Blackbird, there is a lot of space inside the case, nothing is crowded and no tools are required. Since it is so easy to upgrade, even if it were to get out dated it would be really easy to install the new parts.

I was impressed with the PC by now, but I still wanted to see it in action, so I went and found a video of COD4 running on a Blackbird. It ran smoothly at 70fps with the base model, then they upgraded it (which by the way took about 1 min) and it ran the same COD4 at 300fps.

The HP Blackbird is like the next gen gaming PC, especially for gamers who expect to upgrade their PC and want to keep the amazing case with its top of the line (liquid) cooling system. Or if you want to save some money, I believe that you can buy the case on its own and buy and install the parts yourself.

Either way I know that I am saving up for mine!
