So what...I can have two accounts can't I? One for Gamespot, and one for 1up....well 1up is fun, but anyway...the Blog below this one was ina Sony PS forum....this is a response to some haters I guess....

'My thoughts come from this one fear... I recently bought a PSP becuase I wanted to play Wipeout, and GTA Liberty City Stories was comming out for it as well. Also I wanted to get a peice of We <3 Katamari for the PSP and Loco Roco...so something like that. Anyway...just found out that GTA is being ported to the PS2, making my PSP purchase some what of a waste. I was thinking if something similar would happen with the PS3. There would be games I'd like on it, then all of a sudden they would get ported to either PC or Xbox 360, making my purchase of the system a waste. I don't like watching movies through my game systems because doing so burns out the laser, and really I didn't buy a PSP to watch UMD movies or listen to music, but to play games with. So far the games I bought work well, and play nicely, and I am happy with what I have right now, but it doesn't touch a candle to my DS which hasn't been sitting around collecting dust like my PSP.  If there were no games for the 360, I would use the 360 to talk with friends via xbox live. I would also download and stream high definition content from my Media Center PC to my TV through my 360, I would also have a progressive scan DVD player, and with the harddrive I oculd store my own movies, photos, music. But if there really weren't any games i'd like for the 360, I wouldn't have got it.

The point I am making, with Developers seeing the 360 as a more profitable platform (a game could have 1000 achivment points for just beating  it and people would either rent or buy the game to have "bragging rights" or something over xbox live) I see alot of games being ported from 360 to PS3. The exclusives to the system do not appeal to me, and I want to know more about the PS3 before comdemning it all together.  I want to know the services, abbilites, the power, and see actual game footage. Unreal 2007, that could be for PC, 360, or PS3...it wasn't annouced as a PS3 exclusive. Plus really the only "Unreal" game i am intrested in is Gears of War running on the Unreal engine...so it's not like that's a hook for me. I want to know how Sony plans to make people want the system. A half price blu-ray player means a half price quality blu-ray player. Remeber the quality of the PS2's DVD player....i bet you all do (Not to say Xbox's was much better).  Why on earth would a Sony Ps3 be appealing to me, the consumer...that's what i want answered from Sony. The reason I ask you all this is to get the community involved in tring to find out more information from Sony. We all know what "no information" does to a company's product...What Sony should say to future consumers is...

"In the future world of technology, nothing comes close to next-gen than a Playstation 3. With its DVD, and Blu-ray disc capabilities, the Ps3 can not only play DVD movies, but the next generation of DVD format. With Dolby Digital Surround Sound built into the box, players, music buffs, and movie watchers all have something to look forward to. With support up to Seven wireless controllers, using bluetooth technology, players can not only have the freedom of wireless gaming, but a whole family can join in on the fun. With two video outs, lan parties will be a thing of the past. Two-Seven players can duke it out on two HDTV monitors, in two seperate rooms using one system. Not only can the Ps3 connect wirelessly to the internet, but it can connect wirelessly to anyother PS3 for the ultamate in gaming pleasure right out of the box.  With connection to the new Sony Connect service player will be able to take thier games on the go utilizing the PSP (sold seperatly). Players can download music, video, or game content to thier PSP from anywhere in the world. This feature would allow players to be connect to thier PSP no matter where they are. With new UMD burners (sold seperatly), players can burn PS3 content to UMD and take games with them and transfer game data from PSP to PS3. Using the PS3 Retro service, players can download hundreds of Playstation games from past generations, from diffrent worldwide regions, at little cost.

Playstation is the ultamate in entertainment."

A release like that would be nice....don't you think?'

You wanna know what I think...that som' o' bull...watching too much boondocks.

I don't know what Sony's deal is.... but I don't like it. I haven't touched my PS2 in 4-5 months now. There just aren't any games for it that make me want to dust it off. The last one was the original Katamari, and after that I didn't even touch the 2nd one. I imagine, buying a PS3 would be against my better judgement. My PS2 and my PSP get no use, so how could I justify a PS3? Square Enix games, they are really the only thing Playstation has that I like. And with FFXI coming to 360.... I think they might release more for other platforms, and less exclusives. Which would make the PS3 entirely useless in my eyes. Anyway, I just had to voice more hate for Sony.

*GAME IDEA* I like the post apocalyptic setting for that game idea you have (see below). With the Sims: Middle Earth, I was kinda interested in the idea of immersing yourself in the Lord of the Rings universe, without combat being a main goal. The main goal instead would be reconstruction, after middle earth was ruinned by war. Think about it, the Ring was just destroyed. The world is safe yet again..... But every nieghborhood in middle earth has been destroyed, and a absolute ton of people are dead. It's up to you to rebuild, both population and buildings.

or

*Game Idea 2* What if there was a "Adam and Eve" simulation. You are 1 of the only 2 people left alive after a natural disaster that consumed the planet. It's up to you to save the human race, and shape the future. It would kinda play out like Civilization, watching the human race go from 2 people, to millions of people. Watch as 2 people have nothing, yet shape the future for everyone. *End*

I like your game idea, it's pretty fresh. Instead of it being in the past, the future has degraded into the past. It kinda reminds me of that movie the Postman. The bad dude in that movie self appointed himself leader and used fear to control, mostly because he was one of the only educated men left. It would be like Sim City, the Sims, and Comand and Conquer all in one. I think you have something there.....

*Original Message from KojiBrother*: It is the 20th century and the world has digressed back to the middle ages, as the self appointed leader of the Modern Milatary forces (not to mention the only sane person alive) you must build armies, manage troops, and form alliences to survive in an age where the common man knows no diffrence between a rock and a nuke bomb.

You can choose to get involved with the life of your troops by ordering them and giving them tasks (like sims) or you could leave them up to themselves. You would also have to build up bases and manage cities (Like Sim City) and protect not only your army, but civs.
