It appears that this might just be Sony's last console. Integrated content would have been the prime title to wave the PS3 Banner under. Instead, Sony has decided to wait till E3 to release any new information. Not a very smart idea.
What most people do not know is that CES is the main place where all the new Technology investers hang out to check out the latest and greatest in technology. This isn't a place where people bash other companies, but it is a place to demonstrate what the next wave of consumer products will look like. If sony showed nothing it's because they have nothing to show. The whole presentation now seems like a hypocritical one. Talk about integrated content and show no application. It reminds me of the Nintendo Revolution controller unvieling. All talk, no substance. Smart Sony fans should realise the bait and switch appoach here. Sony has said nothing along the lines that PS3 will even be present at E3...all is assumption. Yet Blogers, posters, anylists are touting the PS3 as a marvel of graphicall brilliance. The PSP is a marvel as well, and there are no games for it. The PSP shows Sony's attitude towards its consumers; give customers a lot in a little package and meet promises at a later time. And by annouceing a PSP with harddrive, sony would screw over a lot of people who bought a 250 PSP (like myself). They don't care about the gamers, just themselves.
The PS3 will be sold at a huge loss to Sony, and if they don't get hype up soon they will be faced with tring to recoop those huge losses. And if they go millions or even billions in the can, PS3 will be Sony's last console.
Who gives a flying pork-butt that Cell is powerful. Nintendo's GPU is powerful, Xbox 360's GPU is good right now, and even PSP's GPU is amazing...but with no application to properly show why I'd need to buy the system, there is no reason to own a PS3 other than the fact that its a new Playstation. sorry Sony-fans, but I don't see the big deal in owning a PS3, or even getting excited about it for that matter.
