Read something today that I'd like to share.

Link: Greater Than All of Us

p.s. his music has nothing to do with why I posted this, but since he is a musician afterall, here's a link to one of the songs from his new album if you're interested. Great Whales of the Sea. I figure the title relates to the blog post It's a great album that I highly recommend if you're intrigued by it.

The relevance is that whales are like extinct and stuff.

Uh, I liked the last two paragraphs when he talked about how the poor animals are eating our garbage and dieing of it. That is something that we can and should stop, instead of ruining a core part of nature. He also mentions how we deal with "immediate problems" relating to our safety "ass backwards" and I liked that too. The rest of that thing, from the beginning until the bit about the birds, is just a ton of mumbo-jumbo preaching while he berates the fact that he hates people that preach through religion. I don't dig hypocrasy, brah.

@NeonNinja
Keep in mind that I simply stated that I would like to share it, not that I agreed with it or supported any particular passages contained within. I actually didn't post my stance on the article at all. Your point of view however, has been taken. However I could argue that the things he is preaching about are actually relevant, interesting, and arguably true, whereas organized religion is responsible for a significant amount of atrocities as well as numerous issues that are currently taking place as I write this message but I don't want to get into a political/religious debate so I'll leave it at that.

I'm not saying you stated it's awesome or anything. It was an interesting read for the second half, the first half I didn't really enjoy is all I was saying. What he is preaching about may be relevant, and religion being responsible for some atrocities is relevant too. However, the religious elite are a rich minority, not everyone (the fact that they're rich is what sucks ). All I'm saying is that if you're going to condemn preaching you shouldn't write your article/post in a tone that in fact preaches rather than teaches.
