Ok, so I'm sorry I didn't blog last week. Got kinda busy and tried to post one on Sunday except the computer was being stupid and I just gave up in the end. Too much effort.

Anyways, what I wanted to blog about on Sunday was New Zealand's great day for sport on Saturday! Over here they were calling Saturday 'Super Saturday' cause we had many chances to win medals at the Olympics. And we did. Five infact, which is the most NZ has won in a single day, so yay us! The winners were (incase you don't know): Mahe Drysdale, Bronze, for mens single sculls (and who actually threw up afterwards coz he'd been ill that week), Nathan Twaddle and Bridgewater, Bronze, Mens double sculls (sorry can't remember his first name!), Georgina and Caroline Ever-Swindle, Gold, Womens double sculls (by one 100th of a second!), Valerie Vili, Gold, Women's shotput (first NZ women in 50years to win an athletics medal) and Hayden Roulston, Silver, mens individual pursuit (and he had a heart condition).

So, as you can see by that very long paragraph NZ had a great day at the Olympics. And it didn't stop there! The All Blacks bet South Africa (rugby union here people) 19-0, which is great coz its only the fourth time the ABs have kept SA scoreless, and the first time IN South Africa. And the NZ Warriors (league) won their game, to keep them in top 8 contention.

So overall a really great weekend for sport! Oh, and though its not NZ sport related- Congratulations to Rafael Nadal for winning Gold at the Olympics and for becoming the OFFICIAL number one tennis player, over taking Roger Federer!

Just to some quick TV news before finishing this blog (I'm meant to be getting ready for uni). I have rediscovered ROSWELL. I surprised myself the other day, re-reading one of my old diaries, and found that I had acutally watched the last season, those six years ago. And now TV over here is replaying episodes, so to speed the process up I've rented the first season, and planning to rent the other two, and will be watching them over my semester break, while I should be spending all my time on assignments! Ah well, I'm good at multi-tasking and time-management. Hopefully.

Kiwiana part for today, showing Georgina and Caroline Ever-Swindle's win of the Gold Medal. It was so close that it had to go to a photo-finish. Intense I tell you, intense!

Wow, you Kiwis are quit something when it comes to sport! I've never seen Roswell, but I've spent many times rewatching old shows when I really should have been studying
