Well another year of E3 has come and gone. In this blog i will be giving a run down of my impressions of E3 2009.
Microsoft - 3/4 of Microsoft's conference was very solid. They announced new games however none which actually interested me, neverthelessthose announcements were good for gaming as a whole. What made this conference was project Natal. I feel that this will be the step forward for gaming in the future. To me this was the best part of the whole of E3, project Milo looks very promising but it remains to be seen if it will live up to its potential. My qualms with Project Natal is the price point and the release date. I for one am not prepared to pay over 80 pounds for this. My overall score for MS will be 8/10.
Sony - Again Sony's conference was solid if unspectacular. In terms of game announcements its fair to say they were the best. I feel that the new 'Agency' game from rockstar can be a killer app in the future. Sony followed Microsoft in announcing a motion controller. This controller seemed very accurate and a touch better then Nintendo's Motion plus. Much love was given to the PSP which is good seeing that i haven't touched it in a long time. My overall score for Sony will be 8/10
Nintendo - It was not hard for Nintendo to top last years snore-fest of a press conference. This year provided bigger announcements and less talking from Cammy and others. Highlights for me has to be Golden Sun Ds, New Mario bros and the general love given to the DS. The wii Pulse still baffle's me, i mean do we really need another peripheral!? Ive yet to see the benefit of wii pulse so i cant really be positive about it. Overall Nintendo's conference was a vast improvement over last year however its still pales on comparison to Sony's and Microsofts. Ill give it a 6.5/10.
This years E3 brought with it the excitement that has been missing in the last two years. Project Natal seems to be the main talking point this year and i can see why. I thoroughly enjoyed this years E3 and am already looking forward to the next one.

So ive seen all press confrences. Sony was solid however had no real suprising announcements. Microsoft was good and then the obvious megaton in the end made it the best conference imo. Nintendo was boring as.. mind you i didnt expect much last years conference was equally as bad.
