I read a couple of books, a while ago, by a man named Danny Wallace. I recently re-read them. They were entitled "Join Me" and "Yes Man".
The first, involved the man Danny starting his own cult, he ends up with several hundred followers but has no real point or aim and has to be increasingly vague whilst he figures it out.
The second is about an epiphany he had, to "say yes more". He decides for six months to say yes to everything.
These books are hilarious. I have been inspired to do something. I'm not sure what, yet. I'm looking for a challenge, something outlandish. I've had a few ideas but could do with some help.
Here are some examples:
1) Go a week without introducing myself to people I meet. (I'm not going to do this as I have a party to go to later this week and I enjoy meeting new people).
2) Play twin town dominoes. This would involve visiting the town mine is twinned with and then visiting another town twinned to that one and so on until I make it back to England. (This would have to wait until next year, if I were to do it).
3) Try to find someone with the same name as me. (I'm not going to this as I honestly believe it's impossible, anyone with my surname is related to me already).
4) Drink a pint in a pub outside every tube station in zone 1 and 2 in the London underground within six months. There are 134 pubs....
Well, these are just examples of the type of suggestion I'd like.
You may think it's slightly immature, you'd probably be right, but I don't really care..... ![]()
Peace Out
