So I bought Mr. Perfect DVD like last week, and I really enjoy the DVD. The documentary was well put together. I learn quite a bit more about how Curt Henning was as a person overall. He really seemed such a cool dude to be friends with. Growing up, Mr. Perfect was not really noticeable to me. I was into flashy characters like HBK, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Macho Man, Undertaker, and among others. But watching this, makes me appreciate the man that I have never seen before, and how much he have help this business move along.
Watching some of his matches, was great. I have yet to see all of his matches on the DVD, but I've seen quite a few so far. The Bret Hart/Perfect matches, well 2 out of the 3 were the best. I say their match in WCW was not the greatest. It felt they tried to recreate the magic from their WWE days into WCW, but it just doesn't work in that environment. Out of all their matches together, which is not on Perfect DVD, is their match at the King of the Ring 1993 (available on the Bret Hart DVD).That match was pretty much technical, and listening to the commentary made this match special. The commentary consist of good ol' JR, Bobby "The Brain" Hennan, and the "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
They also have his 60 Min. match against Nick Bockwinkel, his match with Hogan, Tito Santana, Texas Tornado (which I enjoy). There is an easter egg in this DVD. If you highlight Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. Perfect, left click it twice, and you'll get a promo where he destroy the WWE Championship and I think that's the same WWE Championship belt that they turn into the Hardcore Championship. Good stuff there.
My final thoughts on this is I think it's worth owning a piece of Mr. Perfect, and it goes nicely well in your DVD collection.
