Nothing helps alleviate frustration like qouting Transformers, I feel better already. Well down to brass tacks. Yet again we have collectively placed trust in Microsoft and in an afront to classical conditioning have not learned a damn thing. Microsoft mass produced untold copies of the Fable 2 Limited Edition, the limited edition that was supposed to contain a special code the upon redeeming gets you a few extra weapons, spartan armor, and an extra dungeon. But someone must have been goofing off at the assembly plant and forgot to put the code card in about 3/4 of the cases. Sounds awesome doesn't it? Now not only does the drastically undercut Limited Edition no longer have the fancy swag as originally promised it has no special content. We paid $10 for a cardboard slip cover for the game.

A week after launch in timely fashion Microsoft quietly raises its hand and says it will fix the problem for you, that is put a fairly well hidden page in the support section of their website saying if you tell them your e-mail address associated with your GamerTag they will send you your code......in 10 business days. Thats two weeks folks, added on top of the original week from launch till the application form for the code launched. Thats three weeks for a game that can be beaten in 2-3 days.

Well today Friday November 14th will be the 13th business day, and so far no code. Microsoft has done or said nothing outside of the initial page in the support section of Xbox.com, made no advertisement of the page so unless you frequent forums or stumble upon it you would never know it was their tack on the deadline date of 12/31/08. Now days late and nearing a month after release noone has gotten their measly content and what ever hope I had for Microsoft is gone. While my outrage is limited to losing patience combined with my moving on to other games some gamers on the Xbox.com forums have actually began sending complaints to the FTC (Federal Trade Commision) and BBB (Better Business Bureau) regarding the false advertising and lack of customer support from Microsoft regarding this issue.

After experiencing this and seeing my friend get jacked around by customer service for three days regarding his RROD experience (on a Halo 3 LE console mind you) any last glimmers of hope for Microsoft has been lost. I've heard varying stories about their service most actually positive but this takes the cake. After being swindled out of $10 and seeing them refuse to take someone's console for repairs when obviously under warranty I've lost quite a bit of respect for Microsoft.

Wow thats totally unfair, Im glad some people are putting the hammer down by contacting the BBB, stuff like that shouldnt happen. That added to the fact that word has come out that MS knowingly sent faulty 360s out of the factory must be really upsetting. Hopefully this kind of stuff doesnt continue but at least you have your PS3, mine hasnt let me down

I really have never understood were Microsoft's arrogance came from regarding their hardware.. apparently they do not think they have to play the same rules as other major companies. I firmly believe the massive lawsuits already levied against RAM and more recently LCD makers for price fixing on top of nVidia getting sued to hell(In the HUNDREDS of millions mind you) over faulty hardware will lead the way to now seemingly inevitable nationwide class action lawsuit against Microsoft over their own ridiculous business practices. If M$ loses the pending suit against them over the RRoD in California they would not only have to enforce a recall but return all profits of the XBOX360.. apparently it would have to take something of that magnitude to set their a**es straight.

There was a message from Lionhead this morning on their website saying to their customers what caused the wait and when people should expect their codes. They said that sending everyone an e-mail all at once was too hard thats why it took so long and that they would send out the e-mails in small batches day by day. Today being the first, by some miracle I was part of the first group and got my code today. Still others have to wait who knows long till they get picked for any certain day. Whats wrong about this was it wasn't Lionheads fault this happened nor had they any control but they were the ones who had to speak up and tell everyone what happened and seeing the backlash on Xbox.com too many people are lumping Lionhead into the problem. And Microsoft still never had to take accountability for it they let the developer shoulder the blame.

Ya know as much as I like Fable II; Moleneaux and M$ are killing me with this. Inbetween the bugs and the leaving out of the code; this game is really testing my patience. Minor bugs in this game plus software and hardware problems are ridiculous; I 've had to stop the game a number of times for unreadable disc issues, loading errors, one of my wives lives in the ocean lol. Seriously I had her follow me to the ocean bank and she wont come out she's been there for years now just standing there happy as lark. I've lost my dog for whole days before he magically appears in some random place. Sometimes quest information gets stuck at the top of the screen long after its been completed, the find a "wife" for the farmer's son one. I got stuck in buy furniture mode for a while too. Overall its a good game but geesh. Its not all Lionhead's fault M$'s name is all of this as well. IDK man this game is almost broken IMO.

I didn't have as many glitches as your Jbot so my experience wasn't quite as broken and installing the game on the harddrive seems to fix almost all the glitches and hiccups the game has as well as prevents the DRE issue all together. That is if you have the space on your hard drive to do so.
