Terra's Theme - Yoko Shimomura

As many of you may know, Symph here has been planning his blog departure for sometime now, I believe he announced it back last August. Yesterday he finally posted his very last blog entry. Usually this is the part where I start adding witty remarks, metaphors, and overall play on words into a typical blog entry. But, as the title suggests, this is supposed to be a sad and heartbreaking moment. So I'll just skip all that this time. Instead, I'd like to just take a moment of silence in remembrance....

I wanna keep this short and sweet, so I guess I'll just end with a couple of sad songs, and maybe a few others if I see fit to add them.
Wandering - FFX

Holy Valley - Rogue Galaxy (This song I posted in the comments section in Symph's last entry)

Dearly Beloved- KHII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0H8YHAuaNg
Fight With Seymour - FFX (This was a song I always imagined was playing when I went head-to-head with Symph in a debate)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBOTt38E0g4
Theme of the Empire - FFXII (A great song, from a great game, wouldn't you agree symph?)

And now, just a few more that, once you here them, will know why they fit so well in a blog entry such as this. Goodbye Symph. Keep in touch man, alright? As for the rest of you, feel free to express any feelings you like in the comments section below. Just remember, this entry is very similar to the one Symph just put up yesterday, so if you haven't commented there yet, please do so before commenting here.

KH-mixerX Furture Update:
Symph may be cutting off his blog activity, but you won't be rid of me so easily. Rest assure that I'll be shoving my opinions and ideas down your throat for a long time to come. My Blog is still in it's infancy and I have a lot to live up to. So, as promised, I'll be starting my next Blog series very soon, "Games That Scare The **** Out of Me." Stay Tuned!!!!!
P.S.
Not everyone followed Symph's blog, so if you don't know of him, here's a link to his page....

I know it's not like any of us knew him personally, and I know it's not the end of the world, but I thought a blog entry like this was necessary.
This is actually kind of embarrassing. I've been promising that I'll have this posted soon for the last month or so. It's actually been almost done for a while now. I just had it collecting dust in a MS Word file on my laptop. But, just this past weekend, I decided to finish it finally.
Now that the explanations are out of the way.....

Platform: PlayStation 3
Wow, okay. Where do I start? Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is not a game. It's an experience. It's hard to describe this game through words without sounding extremely cliched. Most of the words that come to mind right off the bat are so over-used in games media these days, that they've almost lost their original meanings altogether. Oh what the hell, I'll just use them anyways. Uncharted 2 is compelling, riveting, visceral, astounding, unbelievable, and incredible in every way possible. THERE, I DID IT. HAPPY????? Now, please excuse me while I go cut my fingers off.

Developer: Ubisoft Montreal

I actually just beat Assassin's Creed 2(or as I like to call it call it, "Grand Theft Horse: Italy') yesterday, and I loved it so much that I thought I'd squeeze it into this list. I was a big advocate of the first AC, which was not without it's flaws, but still was an amazing game. As the is the rule of thumb with AC1; you either loved it, or hated it. (I just happened to be on the former side) This is not the case with AC2 though. It seems that everyone loves it. So if everyone loves it, you can guess how much I love it. They virtually addressed every negative that was in AC1. The stealth mechanics could be improved a bit though. But I'm not complaining. This game reeks of awesomeness. A must buy if your a current gen console owner. "Current" being the operative word here folks.

The Crash Bandicoot Trilogy are games that are very near and dear to me. The first Crash Bandicoot was one of my very first PlayStation games, and overall games in general. I can still play all three of them to this day and get as much enjoyment out of them that I did back in the day. It's a shame that CB has diminished to what he is today. Once Naughty Dog left the series to Eurocom and various other devs, he was never the same. RIP Crash Bandicoot.

Ahh, Super Smash Bros. Melee. A lot of fond memories with this bad boy. I remember my friends and I would stay up all night and day playing this game nonstop. It was infinitely fun. We played it from it's release, all the way up until Brawl's release(also a good game). Which is quite a long time if you think about it.

I shouldn't have to explain myself on this one. If you've never heard or played it before, then you should probably just kill yourself right now. Because neither me, nor anyone else can help you. And that's that.

So comes the end of my Top 5 Favorite Games of All-Time list that I started back in June. It certainly took long enough to finish. I hope it was as fun to read as it was for me to write. Actually....it wasn't that fun to write. I just said that cause your suppose to say stuff like that when you finish writing something.
I can't promise I'll have my next blog series started anytime soon (Games That Scare The **** Out of Me). But I promise that I haven't forgotten about it. Oh, before I forget, I just recently found out that a frequent of the PS3 forum, Furi-Kun, was banned. It's quite a shame. He was one of the more productive members in the GS forum community. His misplaced love for Haze was his defining characteristic. RIP Furi-Kun.
Before I begin, I'd like to give everyone a virtual Slim Jim. Why you ask? Well because Slim Jim's are awesome. So there you go, enjoy your Slim Jim in all it's digital greatness. And no, you can't have another

Happy Anniversary everyone. This is my 45th blog post. So, in commemoration of this prestigious event, I thought I'd name this post the same as my very first blog post. It also fits the times considering the cluster **** of games dropping in November. I wanted to wait till I got to 50 to do an anniversary blog post, but by that time November would most likely have already past and the title wouldn't have made much sense. Maybe I'll do another for 50 as well. WHO KNOWS? My blog works in mysterious ways.

Now on to the games. November should be marked in gaming history as one of the most crowded months ever. There's Dragon Age: Origins, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, The God of War Collection, Left 4 Dead 2, etc. There's probably a couple that I'm missing, but you get the idea. And as luck would have it, I want them all. What's a gamer to do? One word: Gamefly. Thank god for Gamefly. If I didn't have an account, I don't know what I'd do. But that just raises another question. Which to rent and which to buy? I think I'll have to ponder that one some more. Stay Tuned.

Your all probably wondering when I'm gonna put out the conclusion to my post top 5 game series that I've been working on for the last 20 years. Well your just gonna have to keep wondering cause I'm not gonna tell ya(insert maniacal laugh). I'm still working on it unfortunately and I promise it's still incoming. So happy Anniversary with a side of Slim Jim's everyone!!!!!!!!!
Here's a little celebratory parting tune for you. Even though the game it came from was balls, the song kicks some serious a**.
