Its all pretty clear cut. Sonic today is no longer the Sonic of the 90's. When first introduced Sonic was all about going fast and beating an evil scientist bent on taking over the world (OF COURSE!) So its no surprise that when Sonic went 3-D bad things happened....very bad things. But lets go back to the Sega Master System where Sonic first started...yes he was the Genesis poster boy but, lets just stay with the Master System. In all the first 2 Sonic Master System games are alright. They aren't as great as the Genesis games sure but they have their own unique charm. Of course there are the games such as Sonic Chaos or Sonic Triple Trouble but lets just try and stay with the main series because honestly theres no reason to get into something like Sonic Spinball or even Tails Sky Patrol. Now the Genesis games were great until Sonic 3-D came into the picture. Let it be known that Sonic 3-D has the same problems many of the 3-D games have today for instance, a wacky camera system, the essence of speed is less focused on, some sort of gimmick is hidden within, etc. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 were pretty good games. Sure they weren't perfect and they didn't focuss on sonic a whole lot but, its still pretty good. The downfall of the 3-D games came however with Sonic Heroes. It was by far too much of the same thing played 4 times over. The camera was horrid and the overall game just wasn't fun. Afterwards Sega further sullied the image with Shadow the Hedgehog and even more so with Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Sonic did have a sort of rebound however with Secret Rings, Sonic Rush, and even the Advanced series however, it would once agian come to not with more spin-offs and even more ludicrous schemes. Sonic Unleashed made sonic a werewolf and The Black Knight gave him a sword. Right now I'm sick of Sonic...to see my favorite speeding hedgehog succumb to this makes me openly weep. But if thats what Sonic has become...a cheap gimmick, then so be it. I expect another Sonic game in the future...but I wouldn't be surprised if he ultimately started to be in games where he would be a werehog again.

In the last 15 years(I believe)one film made western audiences aware of something they never would believe...that film is Akira. Before computer animation and when all things were hand drawn Akira dazzles. Not only did Akira get American people to...

Paprika
A lot of dazzle, a dash of vibrant colors, and a twinkly J-Pop score you can't get out of your head...add it all up and finish with some action...What do you get? Paprika...thats what. An inspiringly colorful, dazzling, action packed sci-fi anime...

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Indy's back and he's just as good as ever. The kingdom of the crystal skulls have just as much fun and action as previous installments. Harrison Ford is as good as ever even if he is in his 60's. However, I have to take a star away because it...

Goodfellas
Martin Scorsese's best mob film and the greatest mob film ever. Liotta, De Niro, and Pesci are all great in this. Pesci steals every scene he is in: the Am I Funny? scene is just one reason as to that. From doing coke to just saying the F-word...

Speed Racer
I was skeptical going into Speed Racer but that is now aside. All in all Speed Racer is everything you expect: Fast, trippy, exhilirating, visually astonishing racing. The Wachowski's stay true to the Speed Racer we all know. Speed is well......
