Wow, a blog that isn't about my favourite games, movies, bands or sex positions. A blog with general chit chat?
Ok so first lets talk the Outcast Union. Things are ridiculously quiet just now, the world of Fallout is alive with the sound of...a lawsuit. Not the most interesting thing to discuss on the Union. It turns out that the New Vegas information I found was...bogus. Strange how one losers rumour suddenly gets discussed in great detail over at the Vault wiki site. We asked around and it turns out that what we discovered isn't true. Want to know what it was?

We were given information on factions, locations and possible perks, some cruel fiend also insisted that the gem of Fallout "Traits" were returning, which made me **** IN MY PANTS. So we spoke to some people and were told it's not true, maybe it is and they are just covering...maybe. Basically when there is new Fallout news, I will get it and I will post it asap on the Union board, well before Gamespot even smells a fart in the air.
Speaking of Fallout, I wrote a review for the first game, check it out and give me some feedback please, if you give it a thumbs down then I would like to know why, just so I know and if you are the guy that seems to give all my posts and reviews a downwards thumb then glide off a giant building for me please.
Also been very busy away from the comp, had 7 tests to do in the last fortnight, thats embarrassing, so I have been busy which of course has meant a lack of posting on Gamespot, oh no. I post when I can basically.
I also managed to complete Left 4 Dead 2s dreaded "REAL DEAL" achievement. I am not an achievement junkie or anything but when I really like a game I tend to go for all the points. Quite a few hours and quite a lot of deaths made this achievement possible. Complete a campaign on expert with realism enabled. What does this mean?

Expert firstly is a beast, knocked to the ground after a few hits, more enemies and even more enemies.
Realism means that the Witch basically downs you with one hit, zombies take more punishment (headshots are pretty much needed), your team no longer have a line around them to show you where they are if they leave your sight and items no longer glow if you are near them. Solid...
Left 4 Dead 2 by the way is awesome ![]()
Those of you who read my blogs will know I wrote a series on my top 10 bands, well I am sad enough to add another 10 on that list, so it will be a top 20...with the top 10 already posted...lol. Wow! I will also have no money left and a stomach full of food when I go out for the girlfriends 21st this Friday, yay for me...

Seems Dekonizer has tagged me, so I will think up 10 new things. Here is the previous post for the first time I was tagged
. I could just ignore this latest one but thats not very considerate is it?
So here we go...
1 ) I have a fear of flying, bad enough that I have turned down trips to Las Vegas, Portugal and New Zealand because I struggle to sit on a plane for half an hour when I am travelling to Ireland or England.
2 ) I also cannot stand to be in the water, such as at the beach or even in a swimming pool, meaning of course that I cannot swim. Add this to the fear of a plane crashing into the ocean and you will get why I dislike the whole idea haha.
3 ) For my music exam in school I played a track from Racer X (link to track, starts about 0.43) and claimed it was my own, passing with an A as a result.
4 ) I really dislike cheese, unless its mozarella and only on a pizza...
5 ) I really think Halo is one of the most, if not the most overrated series of games ever made. Up there with Final Fantasy and Mario...don't flame me please fans lol we all have our own taste.
6 ) When I was working during the summer I was working with a lot of Polish people and after a while I was able to greet them, ask them simple questions, swear, reply to their questions and bid them farewell...I think I forget now though...Kurwa!
7 ) I only have long hair because my mother one day on a visit said "Think you need a haircut". Petty I know...
8 ) My first boy will be called Steven II in the hope that he will call his son Steven III and his Steven IV...and so on.
9 ) I only have an Xbox 360 because my girlfriend thought I wanted one over the PS3 for my 21st birthday. To save her any possible bad feelings I decided to give it a try...and love it
, even though not everything is great about it.
10 ) I actually HATE reality tv shows, X Factor, American Idol, I'm A Celebrity and all those shows. It gives me a sore stomach when they are on and I usually insult anyone who watches them...sad people.

My idea to post my top 10 games just was not going to work, I have decided to make the list 50 games and it was still hard to leave out some of my favourite games, when I post a game I will say which system I played it on, basic story and why it is a favourite. I also urge people to make sure they know this is a list of my favourite games, I am not making a list of the greatest games ever, so please don't ask where your favourites are
enjoy.
Lets continue from Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance with...the sequel.
Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance II
(played on PS2)

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II includes five new characters instead of the original three, as well as two unlockable characters. Of these, only Drizzt Do'Urden was included in the original game.
- Dorn Redbear, Human Barbarian: Strong Melee Fighter
- Vhaidra Uoswiir, Drow Monk: Unarmed and Unarmored Melee Fighter
- Ysuran Auondril, Moon Elf Necromancer: spell caster
- Borador Goldhand, Dwarven Rogue: able to disarm traps
- Allessia Faithhammer, Human Cleric: casts healing/protection spells
- Drizzt Do'Urden, Drow Ranger/Fighter: fights with two Scimitars, Icingdeath & Twinkle (unlockable; cannot switch weapons)
- Artemis Entreri, Human Assassin: fights with Charon's Claw and a Defending dagger (unlockable; cannot switch weapons)
As the characters progress in the game, they have the option to perform special quests. They trade in money for experience. Once the characters reach Act III, they may perform a unique character transformation quest. The quest varies from character to character:
- Barbarian - Druid
- Monk - Assassin
- Necromancer - Shadow Adept
- Cleric - Paladin
- Rogue - Dwarven Hero
Everything is basically the same. You will progress through many levels in linear fashion, killing countless enemies and levelling up as you go. Some nice changes were made, custom weapons are the best thing about the sequel. It makes each playthrough just that little bit different. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II gave players the ability to create custom weapons, armor, rings, and necklaces through the shopkeeper. Players could increase these items by +1 to +5 (or +15 in extreme, but this can only be done with necklaces, rings, and boots) using runestones, which were needed for all customizations and increased the item's power. A player could also use gems to add special effects to the items. Two different types of gems, in addition to the required runestones, could be used on one item. There are several different kinds of gemstones and have a different effect on different types of items such as armour/ weapons.
Each character has his or her own Act III sidequest that can be unlocked through certain NPCs . These sidequests could only be unlocked if the player gave increasing amounts of gold in exchange for the same number of experience points. The exception to this was Dorn's sidequest, which is unlocked after speaking to a certain NPC (Randahlla) in Act III or Act IV. Completion of a sidequest would give the corresponding character extra feats and abilities.
So not much else to say, it just continues from the first game and succeeded in giving me hours and hours of fun on the PS2. Sitting for about 8 hours just smashing enemies in the face, awesome.

More creatures, treasure and the smashing of weapons against faces.

Lets continue from Devil May Cry with a console version of a very popular series of RPGs on the PC. It is different but I couldn't get enough of it.
Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance
(played on PS2)

In this epic action RPG, play one of three unique characters as you explore visually stunning environments like bone chilling ice caverns, marshy swamplands and forlorn tombs. Battle immense Frost Giants, brutal Dragons and hordes of other Dungeons & Dragons creatures. Use your wits, battle fiercely and emerge victorious!
Kill countless enemies, find new weapons, cast spells and explore many locations.
The battle system in the game is simplistic, but allows for customization. Character statistics at the game's beginning are preset, and the player may only customize his or her character's statistics through gaining experience points. Experience points are gained by winning battles, and at specific levels the character gains new ability points to spend on enhancements specific to the character clas5 The ability choices effect the fighting styIe of the character. The human archer, for example, can assign experience points to enchanting arrows rather than to strength, which results in a more powerful ranged attack.
Game play is linear, and any current quest must be completed successfully before the story proceeds. There are also relatively few non-player characters (NPCs), of which only those who are part of a quest or side-quest may be interacted with. Weapons, armor and items are only available for purchase from one location at a time in the current region, and are increasingly valuable later in the game.
So it is pretty simple, run through different settings and kill everything that moves...and there are loads of enemies. It's basically nothing like a PC version of Baldurs Gate which is obviously much more in depth and features more role play elements by a long shot. Difference is I could put this game on and just have fun for 6 hours without much thought. Hack n slash to the max with awesome weapons and levels.
The gameplay is nothing more than that to be honest. You find better weapons and better merchants as you progress and make your way to the end through dungeons, caves and towers. What I enjoyed most was the 2 player, either with one of my friends or my brother, we would sit for hours and just have a good time roaming about killing hundreds and hundreds of enemies with a variety of weapons, fun and thats what matters in gaming to me.
The music was pretty good and was well suited for a D+D game, the graphics at the time on the PS2 were gorgeous, I loved the water effects and the top down view...a bit like the old Fallout games but zoomed in. I was suprised as to how good this game was to be honest, countless hours of treasure hunting and monster slaying, brilliant.
So despite it not being the most in depth "RPG" it was still as exciting as so many real RPGs I have played, a great D+D type game without all the fuss of major character creation and the rolling of a dice. I really hope Interplay manage to make a third one at some point...

An early location showing the basic idea of the game, creatures, treasure and the smashing of weapons against faces.
