Well folks, looks like this year`s E3 is over. Nothing much to say about it, just a couple of hundred words.

XBOX 360

Shadow Complex
A 2D shooter from Epic. Didn`t see that one coming but side scrollers aren`t exactly my cup of tea. Pass on.

Crackdown 2
Just a name drop Xbox fanboys can show off in System Wars, no real info.

Left 4 Dead 2
Weak exclusive. A retail map pack in essence. Good game don't get me wrong, but you can't win brownie points with it.

Splinter Cell Conviction
Looked great, but the design since first announcements has changed drastically. Looking forward to this.

Forza 3
Unexpected, even coming out before Gran Turismo. Nice move.

Halo 3 ODST
Obviously this will sell like hot sh*t, but we've known about this for ages.

Halo Reach
Again, a name drop. Looks like Microsoft is going to milk the Halo franchise for good.

Alan Wake
A game that everybody will praise but no one will buy as it was with Max Payne series.

Camera Controller- Project Natal
I don`t like the idea of not having a controller, but it seems to have potential. Not to mention that MS now has balls to step in Nintendo`s field. (By the way grigjd3 made a great blog entry about this, check it out.)

PS3

Uncharted 2
Looked beastly. The original was good, this one looks even better. Multiplayer is a needless add-on in my opinion.

MAG
Another FPS, but very impressive on a technical level. Time will tell if it maintains what it claims once it goes gold. I just hope it is not MP-only.

Agent
Name drop. Since Rockstar miserably failed to deliver with GTA IV and Midnight Club: LA, I`m cautious about this.

Final Fantasy XIV
No-one saw this coming that's for sure. But neither MMO`s or FF franchise, so I couldn`t care less.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
I remember playing Portable Ops on my friend`s PSP. God, what a piece of crap it was. Not excited about this the slightest.
One thing that struck me as interesting: When Peace Walker was announced, Kojima emphasized that it was being worked on by the MGS4 staff and was not a spin-off. When Rising was announced, no such assurances were offered. He never said that he was deeply involved with development. Also, I guess that this means MGS4 isn`t coming to 360.

PSP Go!
Price = idiocy. Sony just doesn`t learn from their past mistakes.

ModNation Racers
May suffer from LittleBigPlanet syndrome in that everyone loves it but the sales didn't reflect. I`m not into "Mario kart" type of racing games tough.

The Last Guardian
Amazing, no doubt. Sales are not going to be that impressive though.

Gran Turismo 5
Just release it already!

God of War 3

Looks better than I thought, but it's going to be more of exactly the same. Works for me, but it's not unpredictable.

Motion Controller with Playstation Eye
Not bad, impressed me even more than Nathal. But everyone`s dropping into motion controller bandwagon now.

Hold on a second. What about Nintendo? And where was Miyamoto?

Okay, Big N blew this year (again) but at least it wasn`t as terrible as last year when their show was so bad that I plan to tell my grandchildren tales of how bad it was. Of course, they'll just think that I'm a doddering old fool telling tall tales, but I'll know the truth because I was (virtually) there and I saw it with my own two eyes.
I believe that Miyamoto was waiting in the back to pop out and announce some cute pet project as if it were going to change the face of gaming. Reggie knew that he couldn't let that crap happen two years in a row so he just let it end after the new Metroid game was announced. I'm sure the conversation afterword was fairly awkward.
"Leggie, what the herr! I wanted to show my new frower smerring game."
"Oh, dude, shigs! I totally forgot, my bad. God damn, I totally heard someone in the audience say that they were hoping we had a game about smelling flowers. Dude, I am just as pissed as you are. We're totally going to do it next year. You, me, and the flower smelling game, I promise."
This year`s E3 was definitely better than the previous one. It is my humble opinion that Microsoft took the spot this year. Nintendo was Nintendo and Sony could have won if not their excessive blabbering and somewhat disjointed presentation.

Oh, and pay no attention to the dancing Hitler He`s just waiting for it.

Thanks for the mention. I think MAG will do well even if they can only attain the first Team Fortress level of gameplay. I just think everyone will want to try it.

Hmmm, I thought MGS: Portable Ops was pretty damn good, so whatever Peace Walker is, I'm sure it'll deliver on my end

Dancing Hitler Awesomely menacing.
