The band of the week for this week is My Chemical Romance.
My Chemical Romance formed in 2001, and are an American "Emo" Band from New Jersey. My Chemical Romance's music genre has also been described as: alternative rock, post-hardcore, punk-revival, pop punk, rock, violent dangerous pop, and as their frontman says "What Else Ya Got Emo." They cite their main influences as: Queen, Iron Maiden, The Misfits, Morrissey/The Smiths, and the Beastie Boys. They're also heavily influenced by horror films and comic books,therefore their music, lyrics, and image all have overt elements of fantasy, storytelling, horror, and theatricality.

I don't really like their songs. It is difficult for me to hear the Beastie Boys and Iron Maiden influence.

I enjoyed the their first album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, but that was a while ago. I didn't like Black Parade, but I heard there is a new album so we'll see If it's any good.

@Johnsy 1112 - Modest Mouse is an American Indie Rock band, they're one of my favorites, also if you do listen to a CD of their's listen to "Good News For People Who Love Bad News", it's an amazing CD.
