I downloaded Pirates last night at about 9:00 pm started playing it and didn't stop until about 5:00 am. It is the most addicting game I've played in a long time. The graphics are excellent and the game itself is qute interesting. I highly recommend it. A warning to the wise, if you don't have time to play for a while don't start the game. You've been warned, you wont want to stop.

Saturday I decided to upgrade my laptop to Win7. I received my free upgrade disk on Thursday and couldn't wait. First I have to say it took almost 9 hours to do. The laptop needed to download a host of updates in order to prepare itself for the OS and that alone took almost 3 to 4 hours. Unfortunately this is not an upgrade you can just start and then come back to. You need to be present through out the process, so don't start it in the middle of the night like I did. Once the OS loaded I later that day took it to the local coffee shop for a spin. Once I got in to the OS I started to find that this new Windows & thing was full of surprises. Even with my on board graphics chip the 3d effects on the desktop were very nice. I had to dump my Windowblinds 6 for WB7 but that was no problem and the blinds look very nice. The more I toyed the more I was surprised. Has Microsoft finally figured it out?? Now let's see if they screw it up with the multitude of updates that always seem to bog their OS's down. At the beginning stages MS7 seems to run and load apps faster than any I've seen yet. I'm an old school Dos guy and have watched the OS's come and go, I've used almost all Linux OS's and tried Apple/Mac's but don;t like em. Let's hope this new found surge that MS has created doesn't get bogged down with Bloatware and Security Garbage

I was playing Half Life last night, it's been a long while, the graphics seemed so mediocre compared to more recent games but it's still a good game. Too bad you have to have Steam to play it. I may go ahead and get Half Life 2, not sure yet, still thining about it.

The Golden Compass
If you believe the propaganda from religious leaders about this film don't read this. If you are a free thinker read on. I took my six year old son to see this movie and we both loved it. I had to stop and give this some thought before I wrote a...

The Devils
The Devils is a horrific rendition of a true story, based on the historical novel by Aldous Huxley "The Devils of Loudon". Not for the squeamish or devout Catholics, this tale depicts the hypocrisy and evil intnetions of the Inquisition...

The Incredibles
Let's face it, I don't know anyone who doesn't like this movie. The humanization of Super Heroes, is incredibly (no pun intended) well done in this movie and the animation is superior (again no pun intended) to any thing Pixar has done to date....
