I got the demo off of XBOX Live and it was ok., but nothing special really, and it took me awhile to get used to the controls but it was a game that I definitely wanted to try out although it wasn't on the top of my list. I've actually never been a big fan of the RE series and thought it was more a Silent Hill clone with more guns.
Boy was I wrong... I got a copy of RE5 for 360 two days ago, and after learning the controls and menu options I gotta say it probably one of the BEST games I've ever played in my life!
The story sucks you right in, the graphics stunning and the game play is phenomenal! Damn this game is good! I'm past chapter 3 right now and try to enjoy every minute of it and not race through the levels, like I've done with too many games. No, this game is a true masterpiece! I'll probably write a review after I'm done with the whole thing.
Play it if you haven't done so already!

I have always been a huge C&C fan since the beginning when Westwood studios was in charge of this franchise. Up until the C&C 3 Tiberium wars I refused to play Red Alert 3. Just for the simple fact it looked so incredibly rediculous, I could barely handle the demo (tutorial was embarrasing and childish).
The other day when I went to rent a game at my local video store they were of course out of every single game I wanted to try but Red Alert 3 so I thought, why not I'll just give it a shot.
After playing it for awhile (and mind you, I'm playing this for the first time on a console), I thought it was surprisingly good. After a couple of missions and cutscenes with hot half naked chicks wearing sexy uniforms and short skirts, it sucked me in! The acting is in one word horrible and seeing George Takei as the Emperor of the Rising Sun made me lol hard (especially when you do not expect him in the game, he did a great job being the emperor though,.."oh my") .

But it's overal rating is good. It's just a different type of game then I'm used to (or anybody). A kind of light hearted take of the usual, more serious C&C.
The Empire of the Rising sun (the last faction you play when you follow story mode) was by far my favorite. The shogun executioner is incredibly fun to control although unfortunately not-buildable (would have been cool with skirmish games), but this unit has such an devistating impact on the battle that I kind of see how they took this out during online play.

The controls I never got used to. In the beginning I found it hard but I thought that it was just me not being used to it. When the final chapter can around I STILL found it hard to play this game with a controller and not a mouse and key board! The controller just plain sucks when you play any C&C or similar game, which makes it not really a console game, but oh well. I don't see why they don't come out with a wireless mouse for the PS3/X360, they will make games like this much more playable. Neverthless my final verdict however was an 8! Yes an 8! Good game! I guess what I'm getting at is that you can't judge this game by it's screenshots and videos. I had a good time with it!
It took me forever to get a copy of Gears of War 2, since November in fact, but I finally got my hands on one. What a fantastic game that one was! I finished it, twice!

I was gonna write a review about it, but 1. I'm kinda too late and 2. There are already so many great reviews that go into detail that I really don't see the need for another one. This is by far one of the most intense and best single player games I have ever played in my gaming history (and that dates all the way back to the 80's, damn I'm old). However, I wasn't too impressed with the multi-player aspect of the game, but I'm spoiled with CoD W@W I guess. Nevertheless great game, great storyline and fantastic level design.
