Howdy all,

Hope those approaching the end of their school periods are doing well, finals can be a pain in the arse. Personally, I just got done with them on Tuesday, and for those wondering; no I didn't study for any of it.

Apparently an entire semester (half a school-year) has disappeared on me, and so has all the time when I lived in the dormitories. I'm currently moving my stuff out and cleaning, and tomorrow I'm going to say goodbye to those still here, and to allot of memories that accumulated on the way. I must say, we did go out with a bit of a bang, I had been wanting to throw a pool tournament, and one got started up for me and a couple of buddies...then it grew until six players was sixteen, and ten attendees were...I couldn't even count. Heck, I even got to chug a fair bit of a keg of rootbeer...yes they sell it in kegs. (I'd post pictures, but common sense says no)

Now, about that job I was considering, I did apply (3k a month is hard to pass up), but it turns out that all hirings at the college have frozen due to budget cuts...ergo, nobody is getting the job. I've still got an offer here and there, but I'm pretty sure that I will just take my last fun summer and run with it.

On that note, I get to the title thing, I'm going to Montana on Monday. *listens to that bloody cricket chirp* Yeah, I found out about it not very long ago. I was hanging out at a friend 's place and he asked me, over drinks, to go to Montana with him and another of his friends. My family had even less notice...essentially getting a call asking if I had any prior engagements then. A little trip (over 1000 miles) is a good way to start off a summer eh?

Hmm, guess that means I'll be gone even more, do yourselves a favor while I'm gone...make sure to keep having fun, no matter what you're doing.

- John

Montana? Weird.
Have fun

@essi2: I assume anyone road tripping to Germany is located in Europe...I know I certainly don't have a road from Texas to Germany to travel.

@ Princess-peach

I'm guessing you didn't do too well in geography either that or your a stereotypical american.... either way geography doesn't seem to be your strong side.... please don't take any offence I'm just ranting

here's a map http://www.mapsofindia.com/worldmap/world-map.gif USE IT

@ davidr

next to greenland!?! there's half a bloody world ocean between Norway and Greenland but yea next to Sweden that's spot on

Montana, eh? I didn't know anyone lived in Montana...

Seriously: have a good trip. It's nice to relax after an intense period of activity.

@essi: Is there a ferry to Germany from Norway? Otherwise, a "road trip" would take you through (and I'm just going on memory here) Finland, all three Balkan states, and Poland (maybe I missed a piece of Russia in there... oh well) before hitting Germany... that's a LOOOOOOONG road trip...

@everyone else: maybe Princess_Peach doesn't know where Montana is... it's not like it's a high profile state.

Find California (west coast of the US), go two stats north, then two states east, and there it is.

@ davidr

If you like music from Norway, Sweden and Finland. I'm guessing we're talking Metal

@ OrkHammer

There are three ways to get to Germany from Norway without having to go through the brakeaway states of the former soviet union Ferry from Norway to Denmark, bridge from Sweden to Denmark or ferry from Sweden to Germany We'll probably take the bridge if all three of us are on vacation at the same time (highly unlikely)

I'm not American and I've never been to America either so I wouldn't know plus I hated Geography.

@Ork I guess you could try the direct approach regarding car tripping from germany to Norway: Straight north through Denmark. Be sure to keep the pedal to the metal as you go off the pier in Fredrikshavn or risk sleeping with the fishes...

Hmmm... if I make it over the Big Pond again I'll have to keep all of those in mind (especially Goblin's suggestion... I used to skip rocks, so the theory is sound... ).
Posted May 30, 2008 10:54 pm PT
lol rock skipping... car skipping.. sounds like some sort of extreme sport for nordic adrenaline junkies..
Posted Jun 4, 2008 1:31 pm PT
@ davidr yes, we throw cars on the water and hope they make it all the way over to denmark car skipping FTW
Posted Jun 9, 2008 9:25 pm PT

Posted Jun 10, 2008 1:53 pm PT
@ david

it's just to keep our mind of all the taxes we pay or as bush would say: the bariffs and the tariffs I wonder if there should be a Godwin's Law for Bush aswell......
