Yesterday, I attended in Lisbon the second show of WWE Smackdown's Live Tour. It was a completely sold-out event, as it was the day before. And man, what a show that was! It has been 14 years since the WWE (then WWF) came to our country, and we all hyped this show much.
It was an awesome event, featuring most of the famous Smackdown wrestlers. Batista, Ken Kennedy and Boogeyman were probably the guys who got the biggest pops. It was a great show, and I can't remember seeing such an enthusiastic reception by the audience, not even in soccer matches. As soon as I arrived at the arena, I tried to buy a D-X shirt but they were already sold out! It was pure madness towards the official merchandise, and everything was sold at the end of the night. I managed to get myself a Matt Hardy t-shirt for some lousy 30 Euros.
And, before the main event (Finlay vs Batista for the world championship), Tony Chimel announced that, thanks to the demand of portuguese WWE fans, WWE RAW is coming to Portugal in June 2007! I'm pretty sure I'll attend it as well.
Precisely a month before, in the 5th of November, I attented a Tool concert in the same arena and oh man, what a sweet rock show it was. I had already seen them in last June, but Maynard and friends still managed to rock the hell out of Lisbon. I would rate this as a 9/10 show.
Also scheduled is a Nine Inch Nails concert in February '07, which I'm looking forward to attend as well. I can't wait to watch the unique show Trent Reznor has to present Portuguese dudes.
Finally, I bought Resident Evil 4 for a budget price, and it is keeping me entertained thus far. As a survival horror, I still prefer Silent Hill 2, but I admit this is one hell of a game.
So, until next time!
