Alright, we're almost there. Only one major gig left to report, so let's do it!

Rock In Rio Lisboa 2006 (Tara Perdida - Orishas - Kasabian - Da Weasel - Red Hot Chili Peppers) // 3rd June

Tara Perdida: These guys are the best reference when it comes to Portuguese Punk-Rock. I admit that I don't like them much, but I have to admit they gave one hell of a show. General mosh-pit from the beggining to the end, powerful songs and an enthusiastic audience produced a great show. // 8

Orishas: Riiight, I remember listening to a couple of musics from these Cubans some years ago and I liked them. It's soft, havana music and it's easy to listen to. One of their songs is a major hit in Portugal 'cause it was listened every 5 minutes or so in the favorite teens' series around here It wasn't a band I would pay to see, but as I was there, I listened to them. Not bad at all, altough it's not my type of music. // 6

Kasabian: You really can't avoid these guys. Their hit song "Club Foot" is, like, everywhere. The arena was well crowded by their concert, and they provided a nice interactivity with the audience. Apart from the lead singer, the band members look like hippies, which provides a nice atmosphere to the show. Apart from that, they played nicely, easy-to-listen songs, so it provided a nice moment. // 7

Da Weasel: Yet again, Da Weasel. While I have seen them in Sapo Surf Bits (as mentioned), this time their concert was MUCH better than their previous. They played more enthusiastically, with lots of screen and visual effects (flames, fireworks, etc) and they provided a great show, justifying their presence just before the main-event. They finished the show with Beastie Boys' "Fight For Your Right" which couldn't be more adequated for the moment // 8

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Starting the tour promoting "Stadium Arcadium", the Peppers came yet again to Portugal, and this show was undoubtelly their best here in my country. Presenting unique style, great performance and lots of communication with the audience (mainly, by Flea), the Chili's showed that they are still one of the best bands in the business. Played many hits, and songs from the new album ("Dani California", or the excellent "Snow"), and also, one of the main moments of the night came when Flea and Frusciante played one of those jams that drive the fans to tears, for its state of awesomeness. Flea even declared that if Portugal won the World Cup, he would return and dance naked in the mud Awesome show, one of my all time favorites. // 9

Pearl Jam // 5th September, 2006

Well, I guess I told you almost everything about their awesome show just a few days ago. Eddie Vedder & pals presented a 2 and a half hour show, showcasing 30 songs. Eddie Vedder had always the crowd on his side, as well as a bottle of Portuguese Wine For more information on this show, check one of my latest blog updates // 9

Shows still to come: Alright, in this section I will tell you about the hype i'm making about the three shows I'm attendind, this year, for which I do have ticket:

Muse // 26th October Muse is one of the bands that I've been listening to the most this year, so I'm looking forward to a nice show. I've seen some live shows on DVD to see what they're capable of, and it seems they will provide a nice aMUSEment (got the trick? :lol

Tool // 5th November Tool twice a year, oh yeah! When I listened to them back in Super Bock I didn't know their work for much time, but now I consider Tool one of my favorite bands ever, so let's see if they suprise me like they did in May.

WWE Smackdown // 5th December For the past two and a half years, I've been an WWE fan. So I couldn't miss watching Smackdown live. It'd be better if RAW came by, but for the moment it's just fine. Looking forward to see some of my favorite wrestlers, such as Finlay, JBL, Khali and Matt Hardy

Shows I'd like to attend: Here, I will tell of the shows I would go without thinking twice if they toured Portugal.

Nine Inch Nails: Industrial Rock at its best! Well, NIN is one of my favorite bands, and two NIN shows are never the same, so i'd love to see them live.

Bad Religion: The godfathers of So-Cal Punk Rock are still kicking, and arguably the best in business. They have the best Modern Punk songs i've listened to, such as "Infected" or "Better Off Dead".

Iron Maiden: Words for what? These guys need no introduction, and their shows are amongst the best ways of entertaining known to the human race, so I couldn't just step aside them.

Bruce Springsteen: There is no other man alive quite like "The Boss", and as a the living legend he is, it's my duty to have an imediate ticket if he tours Portugal.

So many concerts and i'm not able to attend any of them. Living in an island sucks when it comes to those things.
