Just picked up Final Fantasy III for the DS last week and I have to say that I'm pretty excited about this game.  Unfortunately between WoW, FFXII and school (I've got exams upcoming) I have not the chance to check it out other than watching the opening movie.  From what I see so far it is well presented with both graphical and musical  appeal.  I'm running behind on alot of reviews including Okami which I still have to complete so I appologize for those that keep visiting my section to find that there is nothing new updated.  Additionally I am an officer over at the Alive by 85 Union so that has me busy somewhat as well.  Good news is that in about one month I will be finished my semester and will be on 3 weeks Christmas break to indulge you with my opinions and rants on game and game related material.  Until then as always be good and have fun.

Yeah, figured that you have been busy. I am picking up FFIII this thursday, straight after my second-from-last paper. Hope they have shipped in though.

Great news! I picked this game up a few days ago, myself. I'll be looking forward to your comments!

Good to hear from ya Jirair. Glad you're enjoying FFIII. Are you okay with the no save points in dungeons? I know that was a complaint that some of the reviews were stating. Since it's a portable game, the no save points in dungeons kinda sucks. Especially if the dungeon-exploration is as long as some console RPGs.

I bet you can't wait for your Christmas break.

Sounds like you're ready for a well deserved break Jirair- congrats on your officer position in Alive by 85! It's been busy here so I'd like to get posting there again As usual, you have a great lineup of games, and can't wait to hear what you think of them! Best of luck on those exams!

Wow, we just keep playing the same games. I also got FF III from GameFly and I'm about 2 hours into it. It's good, and you'll enjoy it especially if you like old school, traditional RPGs. I had some fun renaming my characters.

So many times, so little time, eh Jir11? It was calm before the storm a couple months ago, but now it's the storm, and there is just no time. :-).

Good luck with those exams.

Lucky you. I, unfortunately, "screwed the pooch" and asked for Final Fantasy III for Christmas. Meaning that I can't buy it for myself before then. I don't know what I was thinking. Good luck with those exams, good buddy. PS---You are one heck of an officer. Says a lot for my judgement.

I received FFIII from GameFly the other day, and I too have only been able to watch the opening movie and play through the first dungeon. I must say that the opening movie was totally awesome. It's hard to believe they put that much effort into a Final Fantasy game on the DS

I thought FFIII looked like quite a good remake too, at least you're enjoying it and no doubt you're really looking forward to that 3 week break!

Well. it sounds promising. Since I'm not going to be picking up a Wii or a PS3 anytime soon I've been considering a DS. Are you pleased overall with the selection of games for this system? In the past I haven't been that interested in handhelds but I might make an exception.

I'll be picking up FFIII pretty soon myself... best of luck with exams!

David I'm very impressed with the line up of games that the DS has to offer. It has a very wide variety of games and so far I am not disappointed in the selection of games that the DS has to offer. Titles such as Super Mario Kart, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, The New Super Mario Bros, and now Final Fantasy III are pretty impressive so far in terms of what I have seen and experienced. Of course there are other titles that I have yet to try but let me tell you a DS purchase is a very sound purchase indeed. Thanks for the good wishes guys and gals, take care and be good.

Good luck with the Exams Jir, I'll be getting mine 5 in five weeks. I've been swamped with games and school myself and Christmas isn't going to help much. Take care
