I had one of the most off-putting experiences taking a cab today. I take a cab to work about one day a week, occasionally 2 days. I also work one day a week for the said cab company that I was using today. I have a flat rate from my apartment to my work. Anyway, I get a whopping $1 off my bill as a discount. He made this huge production about it and said that I wasn't helping to pay his lease. I was very taken aback because my cab ride would cover approximately 1/7 of his lease. Plus, since I work for the cab company 1 day a week...I answer the phones and write down the trips...where the heck does he think his trips come from? From ME...so yeah, indirectly I help pay his lease and gas! So, I wrote up a complaint letter, which I am hand delivering tomorrow. Plus, if my money isn't good enough to pay his lease or towards his gas money...I am going to suggest perhaps he doesn't need my paltry cab fare. He made me feel really...well...dirty isn't quite the word, but I can't think of any other word. Like...my $ isn't good enough??? WHAT? I'm still a feeling a little...verklempt about the whole hoo haw. Enough said...I need to chill a bit before bedtime. I'm gonna go and play some Evolution Worlds and screech at the screen at the monsters. DIE!!!!!
LOL...I'll be ok...I just needed to vent a little. Plus...damn skippy I'm dropping that letter off tomorrow! It's all typed up and signed and ready to go!
P.S.
Wellll...actually I sat down and figured it out, but I get a whopping 60 cents taken off my rate. Whoo hoo! lol
I handed my complaint letter in today, and the office manager will have a word with him.
The funny thing is, I actually work for the taxi company one day a week. Plus, I was on my way to work at my other job...which happens to have an account with the taxi company. My other job is a car dealership and I do reception there, but we also have a Service shop (mechanics) available, and people get to take a cab home sometimes while their car is being worked on, and the company pays for it. I think he was just trying to intimidate me...not sure, but I will be finding out after he is spoken to on Monday...

Reminds me of the three times I've been ripped off by taxi companies (that I know of). Perhaps I'll write about them tomorrow in my journal!
