I am am really looking forward to seeing Terminator Salvation, the trailers look awesome and i love the Terminator series, including Sarah Connor Chronicles, BUT, i am just wondering, do we ignore the entire Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines film and what happened on The Sarah Connor Chronicles, or will it all link together somehow? Just asking because a lot of fans thought T3 was so appalling that they do not include it as a movie in the series.

It's not so much that it should be ignored, but the history of it doesn't get played up very much. If you know the James Cameron classics, you're golden. All you really need to know from T3 is that the goal of changing how the future unfolds in T2 failed. The world still went ka-boom.

As Hoeech said... its not about ignoring bits and pieces, as long as you know the overall story, Salvation is a good film. Not bad from the guy who made the Charlie's Angels movies

*Sigh* you know how long this would take to explain properly? LOL. But Hoeech is right the short answer as to why T3 is ignored is because a) It's crap and b) it completely changed the entire T2 story. T3 does not fit in with the Terminator universe TSCC does but it's on a different timeline, does that makes sense? If you really want to get into a big discussion with some huge Terminator geeks that know far more than me I suggest you search through the TSCC forum archives on this site, be warned it's very mythos deep! Pose that same question on the forum and you'll get a lot of answers! I can't wait for T4 myself!

I have no problems with the timelines as I am a fan of T1&T2 but T3 did suck, and I was also a fan of TSCC till the end, so i guess i should really have no problems! Thanks people!
