GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

I'm dead serious. I've never seen such a bad game when it comes to frame-rate issues. They should have called it Need for Speed Shift Slow Motion Mode". It's like driving at 30 mph during the whole race. There was even one time that my game started lagging, like 2 frames per second. It was like watching a slide show. But wait, there's more. When you start a race, there's a chance that the engine sound doesn't load or the car itself won't move. The sound itself is nothing compared to the videos I've seen on the net. I'm positive that it's not my speakers 'cause Dirt 2 sounds wonderful. It also seems to gave a problem with anti-aliasing (remove jaggies).

So why am I ranting? It's 2009. Need for Speed is notorious for milking their franchise to the core. My last NFS game was Most Wanted (2005) which was a great racing game (doesn't matter which console). I saw the gameplay vids and thought to myself: "You know what? This might actually be a great game." But I was wrong. They will never fix these issues. Gamespot was too generous with the score. I bet NFS: Nitro will get more than this one.

Don't buy this game.

After Pro Street and Undercover I decided not buy NFS games anymore.

I realized just by the demo that this game had/has issues. Nice blog.

I will say this: this doesn't happen at all on the 360. The firmware on PS3 seems to make games more prone to errors it seems

I also tried the demo...I played 30 secs.
The last 'decent' was NFS Most Wanted, but after trying Pro Street I decided to not buy a NFS game ever more. Burnout series are better and more fun to play. From the NFS series and Burnout series I always played NFS, but after NFS Pro Street I think the franchise was a total letdown for the fans.

@kyran87 I call that laziness on EA's part. The overall game itself feel like an unfinished product. It's like they had a deadline and rushed everything. Even the designs of the trophies (PS3) are lackluster.

Yea it hasn't gotten to good reviews, so I knew it had some problems.

I got it with my PS3 Slim for free with inFAMOUS and I'm loving it. It's probably just lag, I've never experienced it and I'm at level 30.

I didn't really enjoy the demo that much. The last NFS game I truly enjoyed was NFS:MW. But I've never been that big into racing games anyway. Gran Turismo is pretty much the only series I have interest in. Though Forza is good too.

i played the demo. i stopped playing it because its just like forza motorsport 2. and the frigging car was hard to control. i thought it was gonna be more like underground which was good.

What system were you playing on? I played the demo on the 360 and had no issues.
