After 2 ½ weeks of waiting (Oversea shipping), my PS3 has finally arrived.

Here are some pics of the PS3 and the blu-ray remote.

The machine itself is way prettier than shown on the videos. Like any anxious gamer, I've skipped the instruction booklet or any reading what so ever and jumped straight into the game. The first thing I really had to do was to play GTA 4. 1 More day of waiting and I would've started playing the game with my mind . Also, for now, I'm going to buy Need For Speed: Shift, Call of Duty: MW2 and Gran Turismo 5.

I've also set up a PSN account and tried the GTA4 online multiplayer. Reckless shooting FTW (don't try this at home). Is there a limit to the amount of friends?

I'm still trying to get used to all the features but the most useful one is definitely the built-in Wi-Fi since the PS3 is located in the living room and the router is located in my room.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the system. Great price for the amount of features: Free Online, Built-in Wi-fi, Rechargeable remotes and more. Definitely recommended.

Later peeps! Send me a request!

I have to ask why the remote control? Just use the controllers ... it's the same thing ... forget GTA4, get Uncharted.

@tu2pac It just feels more comfortable using the remote. Using a controller is clunky. Anyway, congrats on getting a PS3 finally, but as I've said many more times before, I just don't like the slim design.

@tu2pac I bought it because there are other members of the family that aren't too familiar with PS3 controllers but still want to watch movies on it while using a familiar remote.

@Ifnot Lol, silly me. My ID is J3rell_rast.

@Savoyprime My last Call of Duty game was the 2nd one for the PC. It's about time I returned to the series, hehe.

You can find the 1st Modern Warfare on the cheap man. You should give it a go. You know I'm not a fan of FPSs, but it is something about Infinity Ward's attention to detail and story that just makes their FPSs different from everything else in my opinion.

Congrats. I've always wanted a PS3, and by the looks of it the Slim could not have come at a better time. Oh, and is this your 2nd next gen console?

Congratulations, it looks pretty good. I have a 40GB original model myself, so I won't be getting one of these any time soon.

I need to ask jerrel I'm stuck between this or the Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle since that one can read ps2 games.
a) How much does it cost?
b) Does it read PS2 games?
c) Any big difference between the normal and the slim one besides the looks?
Thanks man!

I'm most definitely jealous. I'm torn between going skydiving again, or getting a PS3 slim. My problem is that I don't really have that much time to game anymore. I still have 3 360 games to finish. But, definitely let us know what you think

Cool! I got a first glimpse at the PS3 slim during the weekend at my local retailer - it looks pretty sweet!

Cool, you should add me sometime when i fix my PS3. In answer to your question, the last time i rememer, the max friends you can have 100, i dunno if they've increased it again but that is what i remember.

@Jerell_rast

I always forget about the family ... my mistake.

I see you playing a lot with you new toy. I also recommend getting some old games because they are cheaper: Resistance, Uncharted, Burnout Paradise, etc. I hope you enjoy for many years! P.S. There's a limit of 100 friends.
