What a week. I cannot honestly put into words how stressful it was and if I tried to, it'd be so boring that you'd probably stop reading. So we'll just skip the personal stuff and get to the fun stuff (ie The World Series and TV)

The big game is tonight and while I'm exhausted, I still feel totally pumped. Verlander is getting the start (I think its a good idea--Rogers should pitch Game 6 at home if its needed) and I have total confidence in him and the rest of the team. Channel 4 has been doing these cute segments with Brandon Inge's wife all week so of course I've been loving that. A lot of people are calling for a sweep but I'm going to say Tigers in 6.

On to the TV Update:
For the 2nd week in a row, I watched no tv during the week and will be spending the weekend catching up. Grey's was amazing as usual (I'm so glad that its continuously beating CSI in the ratings). While I was mad at Derek for blowing Mer off, I'm giving him a free pass as the fact that Addison and McSteamy were together for two months was a pretty big blow (I'm not likely Eric Dane as much as I did in his season 2 guest spot but I'm sure he'll grow on me as we get to see more of him). Cute little moment between George and Meredith at the end with the check (I can't believe Izzy won't deposit it) and Alex telling Bailey that she wasn't the only one to blame for Denney's death was sweet.

Now onto something that is really bumming me out: The lack of people watching 30 Rock, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Friday Night Lights and The Nine. I'm glad that Brothers and Sisters got a full season pick up but I can't figure out what's wrong with the other 4. NBC had the best new shows this season and because they aren't proving, they're planning on going strictly game show/reality in the 8:00 hour next fall (excluding Thursdays where The Office will stay--for now at least). This just makes me sad as the only thing people want to watch these days is the next CBS twist on the procedural (which really isn't a twist at all) or Howie Mandel (c'mon) 3 times a week (does no one at NBC remember Who Wants to a Millionaire? and what killed it...). I can't even talk about the ratings for Dancing With The Stars and I can only ask that you try out any of the great new scripted shows this fall before all we're left with is crappy reality shows and the same old, lack of character, crime "dramas".
