Sony, Color Me Impressed

Out of nowhere, my Playstation 3 has become my newfound favorite console. It's taken awhile, but I really think Sony is turning the corner on getting back to being a serious contender. Infamous, Ratchet, and the amazing Uncharted 2 have been in constant rotation in my PS3 for months. I still love my Xbox 360, and I am not a fanboy ny any means. But with a big price cut, much-more reliable hardware, and free (and improving) online, I am really looking forward to the future of the console.

The only real exclusive on the horizon I can think of for the 360 is Mass Effect 2... which I am sure will be great, but Sony's also got God Of War 3 a few months later. Could Sony pull ahead and once again become the industry leader? It will be interesting to see. And with my PS3, the future is looking bright.

Congrats, Sony... I don't think anyone believed you could do it.

Yeah I just bought one here one the weekend and picked up "demons souls" with it. My brother has both of the uncharted games so im gonna borrow those and boom gaming nirvana for a while.

I still have to go back and try out infamous and some others I missed to. Its a good time to be a PS3 owner.

I just picked up demon's souls as well last week. Since then I have played my ps3 more than I had played it in the last 6 months. I would even say it is worth buying a ps3 just for demon souls.

@GodmodeEnabled: Still kinda hesitant on Demons Souls. I don't have patience for hard games, but from all indications, it's a hardcore gamers game that should appeal to someone like me.. hmmmm

My Ps3 is sat gathering dust and I feel bad about it. I do however have plans to treat it to Uncharted which I hear from everyone who has played it is a fantastic game.

My problem is that I love playing my 360 over LIVE too much, and I have yet to find that experience on PS3

I think that whichever console you have, there are some great games available.Infamous and the Ratchet sequels are a few that I have to get on PS3. 360 is probably still my preferred console, but like yourself I'm no fan boy. THey are all good.

While it's certainly improving, I don't see the PS3 beating the 360 or Wii in sales any time soon. I've enjoyed the hell out of Uncharted 2 and Infamous though.

id say rent it first so you can have an idea of what its like. It is hardcore (like the ninja gaiden of rpgs) but its also high quality, addicting and very rewarding. Give er a rent!

Well I'll say that Microsoft definitely underestimated the value of first party developers late in the cycle, it's always them that keep you going during that long haul.

Nah, Just kidding. I am still considering to get a PS3 myself, but there was not a strong reason and of course, no money around But there is always something in the future.
