Could you deliver this letter to my friends on Gamespot? Tell them that, despite many broken promises of coming back and writing ,coming back and hanging out, coming back and talking about games, that this time, since I've been layed off work, I'll actually have the time to contribute to the community again?

Thanks, and send them all my best!

Regards,

-J.

Attention: Jbul's Courier
I'll believe it when I see it.

Sorry to about the layoff though. That comes as a bit of a shocker. You still seeing that lady friend of yours?

@Smoov_B: I'll definitely be 'round more. And yeah, me and Megan are still together. She was recently layed off too. Good times! What have you been up to man?

@murat8: Hey, how's it going? You were like my second friend ever on Gamespot, do you realize that? Hope you're doing good.

Too bad about your job But please come back!

That sucks man about getting layed off. I would think people would be drinking a lot more in this economy so bartenders would be needed.

@stan: Thanks man... I will be around much more!

@lazyhoboguy: I know. People say that to me all the time. But the truth is, going "out" is disposable income, and that's where people are cutting back the most.

I will pray for you that you find work soon!

layed off? what happened? it's a recession, bar business should be booming!
Posted Jul 25, 2009 12:14 pm PT
@polsci1503: Well, disposable income (which is essentially what the bar business boils down to for most people) is at a 50 year low for most of the public. So, since it's slower, much slower everywhere, hours and shifts were cut. ALOT. And people in my bar have been there much longer than me (15+ years). So they cut me out of the picture for 6 weeks. But I recently got 2 shifts back, which is better than nothing I suppose.

With my equally long absense it's like you never left so it's all good Sorry about the job but hey, at least you have something to go back to.

This is like a coming back week or something. Congrats on the layoff!

There's no need to lie about staying here. Everyone has accepted your long absences.
