2. Moving to Washington, DC to go to grad school!

I'm rather pleased that several of you were thinking #3. (moving to NY) or #4. (freelance food writing) were in my future though! Maybe once I'm done with grad school ;-)

For those of you who did choose #4, I've actually got a blog in the works at jaxiecracks.blogspot.com where I'm hoping to integrate my food and traveling adventures with my impending graduate studies. There's nothing up yet, but I hope you'll join me there once I build it out!

And finally, one last picture to close out my time here:

Thanks for all your support everyone! Keep on truckin'!

So that's the answer... well have a great and fun time at Washington D.C. and Grad School! Heh heh yeah a freelance food writer sounds like fun too, but I guess only time will tell to see if you really will end up taking that job or not in the future. Whoa... I should check that out (Jaxiecracks.blogspot.com) pretty soon. That is a beautiful picture of (is that you?) and the San Fransisco Bridge! And your welcome!

good luck with Grad School Jaxie! But why move all the way across the country for it? Wasn't there any place in San Fran to go to? Either way, I'll miss you Jaxie. You worked hard through all of the craziest years of TV.com and it is sad to see you go. I wish you the best for the future!

Welcome to Washington, D.C., Jaxie. It's a bit of a different atmosphere from most other cities. Of course there are lots of lobbyists, gov't. officials, lawyers and diplomats, but there are also a lot of college and grad students and even a good-sized techie community here. (AOL, MCI, UUNet and PSINet all started in the area. Sadly, most of those are either defunct, ailing or part of a larger company now.) It's a lively area with a lot of ambitious and intelligent people. The strange thing is that in certain fields, you won't find many people actually from the area. A lot of people come here from all across the country to work, intern and study. I hope you have fun with it all.

All the best Jaxie! Great choice, if I had a do-over choice, I would definitely go for the education. And then cooking of course .

I'll miss you here. Grad school is so busy that you won't have time to blog. Nice picture of the bridge. I haven't been back to SF in years!
