i thought i would share my night last night, because i found it to be amusing and disturbing at the same time. ok, so my friend shelby who is a senior this year, wanted me to go to my high school's annual variety show with her. and i reluctantly said ok. then a few days later she sprang on me that she was bringing this guy ricky, her date! and i was like what? one, i really didn't wanna go back to my high school anyway. its like when you get out of prison, you don't want to go back and visit the other inmates! not fun. and secondly, i didn't wanna be the third wheel. ya know? so i brought another friend so it wouldn't be awkward. but it so was. her date didn't even sit next to her!! he sat a seat away. and they didn't even talk!


well, if that wasn't awkward enough i had to sit thru high schoolers thinking they could sing or act. i wanted to shoot myself in the head!

so eventually intermission came, and after telling shelby, me and virgil peaced out of there!
and this is the icing on the cake..AFTER THE SHOW WAS OVER I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM SHELBY SAYING THAT SHE WAS GLAD THAT I LEFT WHEN I DID BECAUSE APPARENTLY AFTER WE LEFT, HER AND RICKY TALKED, LAUGHED, AND HAD A GREAT TIME!

WTH?!?!

So, the moral of the story...don't be anyone's buffer, and don't go back to your high school after you graduate!
