Now that my school is currently on break, I obviously find myself with a lot more free time right now. The funny thing is, I'm spending less time online. I'm trying to go out and spend time with friends now without the pressure of school and work. Now there's just the pressure of work and that's not even pressure for me since I don't have a real job; I just fill in for people when they go on vacations.

So I'm still lurking around, I just don't have a lot to say. I'm not greatly concerned over when the next episode of Avatar comes out or when the US will catch up with Canada. On a related note I have been reveling in the fact I turned my fiance into an Avatard. He still won't admit it but he does really like the show and is just as eager as anyone else to get the next installment.

That's all for now, I suppose. Hope people are enjoying themselves.

Yep, that's me. 21 today. If I were in the US I'd have gone out to a bar and had a few beers or mix drinks simply because I could. I'm not one to over do it. I've hade one really bad hangover in my life and I don't plan on ever again drinking enough to feel that way. Just FYI don't do 4 shots of tequila in one night if your height to weight ratio is flirting with underweight.

But it doesn't really matter that I can legally drink in the US now because I was legally old enough the drink in Japan wen I arrived (drinking/smoking age is 20) I do like to go out with my friends a few weekends a month and have several drinks but I know my limits and there are just as many times we've gone out and not had alcohol and it's been just as enjoyable.

So drink responsibly everyone!

The first real good snow of the season in this area happened today. I was thoroughly excited.

I woke up and opened my curtains like I normally do so as to use natural light during the daylight hours to save on energy. I was still too tried to bother looking outside so I went about my morning business. When I sit down to my computer and take a glace outside I see it's raining... No, wait! That's SNOW!

I put up an away message and put on as many layers of cltohes as I can as quickly as possible. (I don't actually have a coat or jacket here and I'm too cheap to buy one so I just dress in layers. It's worked well enough since this is a mild winter compared to what I'm used to in Ohio) I grab my camera and go running downstairs and out side. I come across one of my flat mates and all I can say is "Yuki da!" (It's snow!) before I run outside.

I decided to go take pictures at the nearby park. It's a rural area but there's still a lot of buildings around. I wound up taking about 50 pictures over the course of three trips outside over two and a half hours. I got a lot of strange looks from the locas. They were probably wondering why I was so happy and excited over snow. I probably looked strange walking around with my head tilted back and my tongue sticking out.Everyone I talked to had said that it doesn't snow much in this area so I was really excited that Istill had a chance to see snow this winter.

My Australian friend kept telling me it wasn't real. She's convinced snow isn't real. And as timing would have it, when I began walking around with her the snow turned into rain and the snow was washed away. I was sad to see the snow go but at least I had a chance to take pictures first.

Haiku Tunnel
This was a randomly funny movie. I was entertained by the occasional slight skewing of reality while it still remained supposedly realistic. The office-mates are an entertaining mix of people that cover all the steryotypical types of office...

This movie was good but it seemed to have too many predictable elements. There's a girl who's very mysterious. A boy she can't stand. Through various events they become fond of eachother. Also, the theme of life and death was not discussed in a...

Spirited Away
This is by far one of the best Myazaki films. Everything is so well done. I especially enjoy how many different elements of Japanese folk lore blend with the elements of Japanese culture. The world she is in is full of different creatures from...
