Well, I may complain about my job from time to time, but this time of year I can't do it. Just used a sizable year-end bonus to purchase one of these:

Which should entirely change my gaming experiences... ![]()
Seriously, I'll get to those reviews soon... as soon as I get back from my New Year's trip. No really. I mean it. ![]()

It's a 52 inch HDTV and it's insane. I had been using a VGA connector on a PC monitor for my HD gaming before, but this is whole new story. Mitsubishi put a DLP chip in this one so the clarity and definition is sweet. I'll have to see if I can't put some shots of games up using it.

Glad to hear it...

Jake, I've been suspended but have never been told for how long:
"Your forums privileges have been temporarily Suspended for one or more GameSpot.com major terms of service violations.
Reason for moderation: Intending solely to annoy and/or offend other posters
Action Taken: Delete Msg - Your suspension will be rescinded in day(s).

It doesn't make sense and I've been here for far more then the usual 3 day ban.
(sorry bout posting this in a blog post but your not allowed to post PMs while suspended)

52 inches, wow that is sweet. I haven't bought a huge one yet. I've been waiting on the technology to get a little better. I have a 34 inch HDTV CRT but it is a monster. I think it may be the heaviest tv out there. It weighs about 160lbs. But the picture quality is gorgeous - I think CRT's currently still have the best overall picture, but the downside is the weigh so damn much. Not too practical.
Year end bonuses are sweet. You don't budget them in typically, so it's an nice surprise at the end of the year to have some extra cash. I always get fun stuff with it - electronics, etc.

Sonicare! How's it going man? Yeah, I finally decided to drop some cash and get a big HDTV. Of course I can't just go for the lowest common denominator when I get toys...
I have to get the Mistubishi DLP. Mistubishi tends to make incredible TV's, so I felt it was worth it.
It was funny, because they had a 52" Sony HDTV and a 48" Toshiba LCD on both sides of this one, and the clarity and brightness was at least 2 to 3 times better on this model than the others even though both of the other models were substantially more expensive.
I couldn't pass it by. If you still lived in town I'd have you over to check it out.

Trust me, I am missing AZ - especially in the cold, but the new job was too much to pass up. A 40% pay increase with better hours makes you move to strange places - even Ohio!
I've heard that DLP gives an amazing picture - I expect better than LCD and plasma. Good choice. I think if I ever buy a house or condo, instead of renting, then I would go out and splurge on a nice 52 inch TV.

That HDTV is huge! Well, maybe not as huge as other, but still... Too bad I'm not rich enough to get one... But then, what's the use for me? I mean, there's no television broadcasting on HD in Romania, but I can watch DVDs, then again, I don't watch really often movies, plus I don't know where to put it so that I won't ruin my eyes by standing too close... Yes, for now, I will leave it to those of us who really need it... Or almost. I guess I'll be waiting a little longer... for more HDTV channels... I guess...
