So, when I first got my hands on ETQW I discovered that I totally sucked at it and couldn't hit jack. I was confused by this as I've spent a lot of time playing similar shooters such as (but hardly limited to) the Battlefield series. While I am not going to wipe the floor with anyone online, I am good enough not to embarass myself at the two or three LAN parties I make each year.

Then it occured to me. I'd spent a lot of time lately playing RTS's and had not PLAYED a real shooter in a looooong time. The reason for this is as I mentioned in my UT3 review, I was sort of sick of them. No matter - after about 3 billion hours playing UT3 it turns out my problem is my skills were rusty and had regressed to Reagan-era levels.

Oh yeah...the 30-something crowd in here must be under five percent. Reagan was a President.

Of America. Back in the 1980's. LOL

So, the moral of this story is that the key to being an effective killer is to practice, practice, practice. Hmmm. Don't let Hillary Clinton and the video game police hear me say that.

Ok, you're creepin me out: Username, Reagan reference, Dallas Biz Journal, old-school games (WC, Civ, X-Com, MechW, Orion, etc), mentioning the lack of 30's crowd...
If you'd rated Counter-Strike higher and had Deus Ex on your games list... I'd really be worried!
