And on Facebook, of all things.

Atleast his humour is still intact. Oh, Jeff.

I also suggest calling that number.

I wonder why he is unable to comment on his being sacked? Has he perhaps been offered a severance package, with one of the terms of the deal being that he can't say anything bad about CNET for a while? Or maybe he'll come out and give everyone the straight dope in the next day or two. Jeff Gerstmann means a heck of a lot to a great many people, and all we really want is some answers.

TheBates - Probably trying to find another job. No doubt, he'll land on his feet. Unlike some claim, the majority of gaming websites aren't as corrupt as this one. He'll land on his feet, and probably just isn't talking so other employers won't think him too much of a whistleblower. His silence, however, is evidence enough. Had it been anything else, he'd be defending GameSpot as well, or at least defending himself against charges or being "unprofessional."

Cool. Thanks for posting this, dude.

Yuko- It'll be interesting indeed to see where Jeff heads to next. I'm sure there will be many gaming-related institutions clammering for his expertise, and we hopefully won't have to wait for too long before seeing the big man back in action. Perhaps he'll take a few months off to recharge the old batteries, and maybe he'll get round to finally releasing that elusive fourth Midnight Brown album!

Jeff's a fighter. He will always be OK. Even in these times he keeps his head high.

I wish we could have some official word from him, even if he cannot talk directly about it he could let us all know that he is ok.

Good to see Jeff. He's the guy you love not to hate

Nice to see him getting along OK.

I fell sad that he got fired. I hope Ryan Davis, Ryan mac Donald, Alex, Jody, Homer, Tor, Ricardo, Bethany and all the other people keep this website strong for many years to come.
