That's what I'm writing about. I'm going to be a writer when I'm older and I need some input. Now I'm not going to put the exact chapters inn, but I'll tell you what you need to know.

It's 2099. Only a few hundreds of thousands of people are still alive after a nuclear war. One survivor, a 17-year-old boy, wanders the world in search of his purpose. He hears about a rumor that there's a time machine that he can use to go to the past. He goes in seach of it with hopes that he can stop the crisis.

Now I'm going to have him meet an old friend, but they won't be what he thinks they are. And at the beginning he's going to lead a rebellion. But after that, I have no idea what I want to happen. So my question is this: What events should the protagonist face?

He should go back in time and give the strongest warrior a cure to the disease that's going to kill him and then he can fight Cell....oh wait..

What about the friend trying to kill him.

That sounds a little bit like the plot of 12 Monkeys.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I guess he'll have to struggle with the attempts to become leaders of those in the group he commands, with shortage of non contaminated food and water... little everyday things, which can be as important as major events. Good luck with it! Hugs

The storyline sounds great so far. Here's an idea:

The friend turns out not to be human, but a high-tech robot with the same feelings as humans (he doesn't know that he isn't human, though), who was actually the cause of the war in the first place. When him and the boy go back in time to try and find a way to stop the war from starting, the boy eventually finds out about his friend from the people who created him, and that war is about to break out because of him. The boy realizes that the only way the war won't start is if his robot friend is destroyed, so he has to make the tough decision about whether or not to tell him (his robot friend) the truth.

Best of luck with the story!

The friend is a triple agent: pretending to be good by working with the bad guys when he is actually good.

How is one 17 year old boy going to prevent a nuclear holocaust?

He should have to face the decision to save his friend or to save the entire world.
