Television Without Pity (TWoP) is a a forum I sometimes lurk at. They take the 'without pity' part a lot too seriously - people are praised for whinging and complaining, those who don't agree with the majority are shouted down, and usually banned, those who don't spell with perfect spelling and grammar are swiftly banned, and those who don't agree to the iron-fisted mods and recappers are swiftly banned. And somtimes when one of the mods is in a bad mood *cough* Miss Alli*cough* they decide to go on a merry banning purge, banning members with little justifcation. Apart from the usual whining on the site, there are occasionally some funny posts - which are usually reported in the 'traffic court', an area of the forum for goody-goods to tattle on fellow formers for failing to follow the strict rules. But anyway, enough babbling. Here are a few of the better posts I've stumbled upon recently from that site ...
From 'too much information' files:
You might want to rethink your suspicion. I was a daily meth user for
eight years and could never get below 200 lbs. I think it's very
possible she's a tweaker.

From 'not enough information' files:
When did Kim come into the picture? And how is she pregnant with J.D.'s
child if she and J.D. did not have sex? Also: [small voice] Can you
actually get pregnant without having sex? [/small voice]

From the 'dying in the name of freedom' files:
This person was unnecessarily rude to another poster
I'm not sure if I'm filling out this report correctly, but I would like to
report this person for responding so rudely ("shut your hole") to a
poster's innocent compliment.
I thought the rules in this forum were that we treat one another with manners. Shouldn't people who are
in charge of the forums lead by good example instead of demonstrating
the very behavior that is supposed to be prohibited??
That was a post from the 'traffic court' area of TWoP, a place for posters to tattle on each other for rule breaking. Finally for once, a poster was being reported for actual rule breaking (in this case rudeness) instead of say, forgetting a comma or incorrect capitalization. Unfourtunatley, the poster they were reporting was infact a recapper, Erin. I bet she was thrilled with that And I bet she must have being thrilled with banning him.
