You may ask why I haven't been blogging very much. To tell you the truth,I haven't had much to blog about. Till now. It's been such a long time that I have more to talk about.
First off I've seen a lot of movies! To start off, I saw The Simpsons Movie (twice), which I was extremely happy with. It redeemed the show's lack of laughs in the last few seasons. Some of my favorite parts of the movie were....well all of it. The show is also made by creators of Futurama, another show I love, and I finally got to laugh as much at The Simpsons as I do in an episode of Futurama. Just wish they would bring that show back. To those of you who don't like Futurama, just give it shot and I would recommend watching some of the later seasons, b/c it had a slow start and it took a while to build up to the good stuff.
Another movie I saw was The Bourne Ultimatum. I am a huge "Bourne" fan and I love the movies to death. This movie was by far my favorite one. Though, I do want to go back and watch the first two again. The plot starts off with Jason Bourne running from the law in Mascow and ends up getting away (as usual). Throughout the movie he starts having flashes from his lost memories that end up fitting together like a puzzle and shape what he has become. At the same time, he is battling inner demons of all the people he killed in his life and realizing that he doesn't even know their names or why he killed them, other than they would've killed him. On top of an amazing plot, The Bourne Ultimatum has [as always] tons of action, great explosions, and tons of chases. If I were to give this movie a letter grade it'd be and A+. Hands down. Remember that this is my blog and I am entitled to my own opinion, as are you.
Enough for movies, music is also on my mind and coming through my speakers at the moment. I have become a HUGE fan of a new techno band I found through listening to the radio. This band's name is Blaqk Audio and it consists of two members, Davey Havok and Jade Puget. I don't usually listen to techno but these two people are a part of a four person band I have listened to for a long time, AFI. Blaqk Audio is their side project and their first album arives in stores August 14th. Though, you can listen to the entire thing on their MySpace page I linked off to. Davey Havok is the lead singer, both in Blaqk Audio and AFI. If you haven't heard either bands I definately recommend them. They have a darker, melow theme. The reason I like Davey Havok so much is b/c he is such a great singer and song writer. His lyrics are probably my favorite of any song writer.
Onto something of GRAVE IMPORTANCE!!! I start school in a little over two weeks! Wow, where has the summer gone? Let me take a minute to recap the summer for myself. My first two weeks were spent with a friend of mine in Texas, Garrett, who is currently in Chicago and I hope for him to visit since it's so close to me. We watched the first two seasons of Lost, both being huge fans of the show and swam a lot in his pool when it wasn't raining, which it did almost every day. Other than that, we saw some movies, one of which was Live Free Or Die Hard. I'm not gonna go on about that movie and continue with the rest of my summer. After I got home I spent more time hanging out with friends and playing video games with them. On the video game note I got my Xbox 360 back from repair and I love it. Just waiting on another friend of mine to get his back as well, but that's another story. My only worry about school starting is that this will be my junior year and I am starting my first AP course, AP Euro. History, actually. I was given a summer project to do and I am only about 1/3 done. The project is due first day for e.c. and up to a week later for normal credit, so Ihave some time under my belt.
TO WRAP THINGS UP!
I think my next blog will be, well I don't know when it'll be but, there will be one. Maybe about my AP Euro. project or how my first day of school was or something like that. I leave you with this question:
Why are people killing people?
Friend of the day: noahcrash. Thanks for including me in your anniversary blog!
